(Sonic's POV)

A couple of days passed and Metal and I were walking towards my house after another long day of teaching him to control his speed, which went a lot better than most of the other days, and he was less grumpy because of it. Once we reached the front porch, I noticed that my package for a certain spooky night had come finally and I rushed to the package as Metal opened the door before I set the package in my bedroom upstairs, wiping the small beads of sweat that started to travel down my head from how heavy the package was.

"What's that package for?" Metal asked me while standing near the door frame.

"I ordered some costumes for this year's event along with a few other things too," I answered him.

"Let me guess, the event is known to be the holiday celebrated every year during Fall." Metal inquired.

"Yep, just give me a second, I want to see if my costume will fit," I replied before closing the door.

I opened up the box and immediately took out my vampire costume, leaving Metal's grim reaper costume untouched and put the cape on, grabbed the fake fangs, and put them in my mouth, then picked up the came and glanced at myself in my mirror, grinning with the fake fangs sticking down my bottom lip. I don't know why I always chose to be a vampire, it just seemed to make me look extra attractive. I walked over to my door and opened it, seeing Metal leaning on the guest bedroom door before he glanced up at me, looking surprised at me in my costume while I noticed that he was blushing and posed at him.

"What do you think?" I asked Metal.

Metal took a moment to shake his head like he got distracted before glancing at me from head to toe, his cute blush on his cheeks not leaving my sight.

"What exactly are you dressed up as?" Metal questioned in a slightly shy tone.

I couldn't help but grin, knowing too well that the fake fangs were showing off their charm, and approached Metal, his blush slowly spreading and turning from pink to red.

"A vampire, you know, the whole Count Dracula kind, if anything I could be considered as a vamp-hog," I answered Metal, standing less than a foot from him while his ears pointed backward in a way of him getting flustered.

"It looks..." Metal hesitated, and I had to hold back the chuckle itching at the back of my throat at how cute he was acting. "Pleasant on you." He finished with his face as red as Knuckles now.

"Come on Mets, we both know that you think I look better than that." I chuckled, putting my hand underneath his chin to keep him from looking away before pressing my lips on his.

Due to the closeness, I could hear how hard Metal's heart was pounding and felt him hesitate for a moment before he somewhat relaxed. I felt myself smirking in the kiss and deepened it, thanking Chaos that the fake fangs I was wearing weren't making it difficult before we pulled away, Metal smiling at me slightly before he walked inside my room to put his grim reaper costume on. I patiently waited until Metal came out wearing the grim reaper costume, the black cloak slightly past his ankles as he wore the mask on his forehead and held the scythe which had the blade made of plastic, but still realistic-looking as he gave me a curious look while I was reacting the same way he did when seeing me in my vampire costume before I snapped myself back into reality.

"What am I supposed to be again?" Metal asked me.

"He's called the Grim Reaper, he guides souls to the Underworld after someone has died," I answered him.

"At least it's not someone evil." Metal mumbled.

"Vampires aren't necessarily evil, they're just really charming and can't fight against their thirst for blood to survive a few times," I replied.
