(Metal Sonic's POV)

I was beyond mad at what Scourge said and began to claw him, just now realizing that I was a robot once more, but I didn't care. Teaching Scourge a lesson was my main priority right now. Scourge stood up and punched me across my head, but it didn't do any damage as I just turned to glare at him, earning genuine fear to spread on his face. I grabbed Scourge by the front of his jacket and threw him across the alley, hearing bones breaking as he cried out in pain and held onto his now broken leg.

"Metal!" Sonic yelled.

I ignored Sonic and approached Scourge, my Plasma Pulse warming up to fire as Scourge glanced at me in terror, and just as I was about to fire, Sonic rushed in front of me.

"Metal, stop!" Sonic yelled. "You're going too far!" He said, his voice stern, but his eyes held fear, possibly at my sudden transformation.

I dismissed my Plasma Pulse and kept my eyes locked with Sonic's, realizing that the kind of fear he showed was the kind to where he didn't want me to turn back into a killer. Calming myself down, I turned back into being organic and ended up on my knees, my head pounding and energy low.

"I'm sorry..." I muttered, terrified at what I did.

"Mets, it's okay," Sonic replied as he kneeled down to me. "Accidents happen." He said to me in a soothing tone.

"Get a room." Scourge groaned.

"Shut up!" I snapped, almost about to break Scourge's other leg.

"Easy there bud," Sonic said while holding me back. "Let's just get Scourge to the police station and let them deal with him." He suggested.

"Alright." I sighed.

With that said, Sonic hauled Scourge over his shoulder and we headed to the police station. Of course, it wasn't a quiet trip because of Scourge wiggling and yelling like a child while a few people who were out looked at him like he was crazy. After Scourge was dealt with, Sonic and I walked out of the police station and the walk out of the city was quiet due to none of us speaking. I couldn't believe that I turned into a robot, not to mention how angry I was that I began thinking about what would have happened if Sonic was unable to stop me from killing Scourge. Yes, Scourge would have deserved it, and no one would miss him, but I still would have been in trouble even if Sonic defended me against being executed or shut down, which both sounded terrifying.

"You're awfully quiet," Sonic commented.

"I nearly reverted to being a villain again, Sonic," I replied.

"It wasn't your fault, Scourge just likes to tick people off because he's a bully," Sonic said to me calmly. "Besides, you turning into a robot was going to happen sooner or later." He inquired.

"I still hate having the ability," I replied, getting more terrified of my curse than before.

"Metal," Sonic said as we both stopped walking and he placed his hand on my shoulder. "I know you're scared of losing control of yourself and becoming a killer again, but you don't have to go through it alone, I'm here for you and always will be, no matter how many times you mess up." He said to me with a kind yet loving smile on his face.

I glanced away, the encounter of me and Sonic facing Scourge replaying in my head. I didn't understand how Sonic could have remained stable despite his clear shock at my transformation when Scourge ticked me off. Most importantly, I was that robotic thing that failed to kill Sonic countless times, and it was what I feared the most.

"I just need to be alone for a while," I said to Sonic before running off at half my speed, only stopping the second I reached the meadow Sonic, and I hang out at.
