I remember the first time we met
Her captivating beauty took my breath away and the air of mystery and vulnerability surrounding her lead me into a deep fascination, infatuation, enchanted by her every movement.
There was sadness behind her eyes, a lost and distant look that made me desperate to reach out, to take her pain and troubles away from her and wrap her safely in my protective embrace
But I practiced restraint. After all, she barely knew me, nor did I know her
But from that moment I knew she had captured my heart and she would stay there cemented for a very long time.
The years have past by now. We met only a handful of times and I doubt I made enough of an impact on her life for her to even remember my name
But not a day goes by when I don't think of her
When I don't dream of her
When I don't see her striking face whenever I close my eyes.
I live in hope that we meet again, that I can hold her in a sweet embrace and tell her everything will be okay
But no matter how long I must wait, there is one thing I know for sure
She had me from the moment we said hello
And my heart will never let go of her
No matter where life may lead me.

Poetry and Prose By Jake Dorian
Poetrya collection of the poetry and prose I have written. I apologise for the amount of angst and corniness in some. I write to express myself and a lot of these are deeply personal to me.
