In a world full of demons it's hard to find light,
It's hard to find hope when you lose all your sight
Words are twisted cruel and cold
No one to comfort no one to hold
With poisoned minds
And daggered glares
Hateful thoughts and scornful stares
They'll rip apart your heart and soul
Left to die in a darkened hole
But in amongst the creatures here
I found the one thing I don't fear
You soothed my heart with words you'd sing
An angel who had lost his wings
A shining light I'd never seen
You made life sparkle, made it gleam
And with kind words the darkness fades
And in the light, I see your face
Your gentle eyes and caring smile
Counteract all that is vile
And as you gently take my hand
You lift me to a better land
Where I no longer need to hide
Where demons no longer reside.

Poetry and Prose By Jake Dorian
Poetrya collection of the poetry and prose I have written. I apologise for the amount of angst and corniness in some. I write to express myself and a lot of these are deeply personal to me.
