[A/N: Just know that everything that might get you triggered, could be in this chapter, so please read the warnings.  I'll let you know again before anything happens. Also... THIS IS A DOUBLE EPISODE!! (aka it has 5000+ words instead of 2000+) and there is smut and a LOT of angst this time ]

[Adora's POV]

- "Dad! Dad! Look! I learnt how to ride my bike!" I giggled, still trying to get the hang of it and wobbling left to right.

- "That's great, 'Dora!" my dad responded, smiling and laughing until...

The scene faded.

There was no longer a bike. My father still stood there, but no longer smiling or laughing. I ran to him, but walked right through him, as if he were a hologram or as if I were invisible.

I turned to see him talking to my mother.

- "Hope, Darling, we can't let her live with Mara. Mara's a danger to her." he pleaded, putting his hands on my mother's shoulders.

- "We don't have much of a choice, Derek," the woman said through tears, "it's better that way. If she stays here, Sarah will find her again and use her. Adora isn't like Adam, Derek, you know that! Adora isn't even our child! How are we meant to love her?"

"Hope I- we have to try!"

The scene faded away.

- "No... This can't be true." I whispered to myself.

Then my parents turned to stone figures and crumbled away into the oblivion.

[TW: Alcohol abuse and Child abuse]

A figure appeared. A woman.
Sarah Weaver.
I recognised her, but in that moment, did know why or how.

She was clearly intoxicated. Her words were slurred and confusing, but still understandable.

- "I told you! Never underestimate me, defective, insolent child. Your actions are far too much this time."

She paused before smashing the broken glass across my neck, letting the glass shatter in all directions. Locks of brown hair fell from my head onto the ground, turning a golden blonde colour once they reached it.

I yelped in pain, but I felt weak. There was nothing that I wanted more than to get away from her. I shivered and let myself break down.

[End of TW]

Tears rolled down my cheeks, but a blue light glowed when they fell.

The previous scene dissolved and a new scene appeared. One that was vivid. One that I could remember.

- "Adora promise me you will keep this a secret." Aunt Mara whispered to me.

- "Yes auntie. I will. I won't tell anyone! Not mommy not daddy... and not Adam!" I answer in a child's voice.

- "Good, because if you do..." she hesitated, "something bad could happen." Mara answered.

- "Like what? A monster will come and kidnap me?"

- "Hmm... Almost."
