[A/N: Hiii sorry for not updating; I've been busy and I was going to write the chapter, but I realised I didn't have much inspiration or effort left in me, so I let it go and only updated it when I had the want to, so it wouldn't seem rushed. I just wanted to say tysm for all the support! 130+ reads like wtffff?! AND I've seen people adding my story to their Catradora stories too so I'm super grateful for that! If you are liking these, please vote on some of the chapters, that'll be very helpful! Anyway, hope you enjoy this chapter❤️]

[Adora's POV]

- "Mara is your sister." her cold voice expressed.

No... this can't be. Mara wouldn't lie to me for my whole life. She's the mother figure of my childhood, the only family member who was willing to be my friend, and be there for me.

- "You're lying." I answer in disbelief.

- "Adora... I would never lie to my own child," Sarah cooed, "I only want what's best for you and my dear Mara. After your father left, she was afraid of what I would do to her. Of what I would do to you. So one night, she took you away from me."

- "No. This can't be true."

I intertwined mine and Catra's hand, and I could see the mixture of emotions brewing in her eyes.

- "I saw the dream and the visions too," Sarah laughed grimly, sitting back down on her bed, "you two really have something special. Too bad that love never lasts for our family, huh? There's always something that has to be in the way."

- "How would you know? I can't imagine anyone loving you. You psychopath. And anyway, how would you see the visions?" Catra spat.

- "I'm connected the the necklace, of course," she smiled scarily, "although, I might have forgotten to mention that to Mara."

- "You've unlocked your magic too?" I quiver.

- "My heart was broken by your father when I needed him. That trauma was enough to set it off. I guess the magic runs in the family."

- "Why would anyone ever love you?" Catra kept her guard up, still distrusting her step-mother.

- "Hmm... no, you're right." Sarah winced, "Micah never did love me. Not really."

- "Micah?" I ask quickly.

- "Yes."

- "Is he... alive?"

- "Of course he's alive. He has a child with another woman." she immediately grabbed hold of the bars once again.

- "Adora's father... cheated on you?" Catra raised her brows, "Why am I not surprised?"

- "Catra, you are not my child, you do not carry my blood. So do NOT speak of Micah like that."
she growled.

- "Who are his other children?" I question, changing the topic back.

- "More like, who is she? Micah has come to visit me in this dark place with his other wife, when I first got brought here. He told me about how he still regrets leaving me in a time of... vulnerability," her eyes go soft, almost, "he apologised for everything, but still said he was not happy with me. This fuelled my rage even more. I demanded to see his daughter, but he has not returned since. Once I see her, I will show her no mercy."
