_James's POV_

Lily and I remained seated on the couch for what felt like hours but were really only minutes.

"Do you think they will get him back home?" Lily asked me, trying to sound brave but her voice had a slight quiver to it.

I looked straight into her tearing emerald green eyes, trying not to let my own tears or worry and sadness fall.

I hesitated for a while, unsure of what to reply. I had faith in the Order, I just didn't know whether Harry was alright. Sirius and Remus have said multiple times that he is very strong and brave, but is that enough to survive Voldemort and the Death Eaters for a whole fortnight?

"I have faith in the Order, Lils. Especially Sirius and Remus, they will bring our baby back home." I finally replied, taking her hand in mine.

She gripped back, twice as hard. "Harry's not my little baby anymore... He's fifteen..."

I really didn't know what to say to her this time. So I decided to bring my lips down softly to hers.

I kissed her gently and passionately, and she kissed back just the same. All our grief and feelings from the past fortnight was all said through that one loving action.

As I kissed her, all I could think of was how lucky I was to have Lily in my arms. Even after marriage, it all still seemed unreal.

The girl that I had chased since third year was finally mine and mine only forever.

After a while, we parted slightly, though our foreheads were still in contact.

We looked at each other loving, no words needed to be said.

We understood each other perfectly.

I let my lips lift slightly, forming a smile.

And she smiled right back at me.

_Sirius's POV_

Harry...

He was lying down on the floor in the middle of the dungeon.

Pale and lifeless.

No... nononononononono...

Please... no... my precious prongslet....

He can't be dead. No.

I continued to stand there, I tried to move my feet but they seemed to be glued to the ground. The only thing I could actually seem to move were my eyes. Not even my head could make a slight twitch.

I wondered if I was under the full body bind curse, but that would mean I would fall to the ground.

Using my eye balls, I saw Remus start to run forward, heading straight towards Harry.

It seemed like Remus's actions alerted my brain somehow, allowing me to finally move by body.

I ran towards Harry, alongside Remus.

Once I neared him, my knees gave way and I slid down next to him.

I started fondly touching every part of his face as well as him arms.  I could not believe that I was here, having Harry right in front of my face.

But after that blissful moment, I realised that he could very well be dead.

I could not seem to breath as I slowly bent down further, listening and watching for a rise and fall of his chest as well as trying to find a pulse.

Remus watched me intently. Looking at my facial features to determine whether or not Harry was really dead like we feared.

Finally I felt it, a pulse. It was weak and barely there, but still it was a pulse.
