_James's POV_

I can't wait to see my two best friends - Sirius and Remus. They have been with me through thick and thin all my Hogwarts life and after. I can't imagine how they felt when they found out that I had died. If that had happened to either of my best mates, I don't know what I would have done. Heartbroken definitely, I would not know whether I would be able to move on at all.

Dumbledore  did not mention how Sirius and Remus were doing so I hope everything is alright. Especially Remus, with his furry little problem, it must have been even harder for him as with age, the werewolf transformations progressively get more painful and Moony becomes more violent, like an actual wolf.

_Lily's POV_

I still can't believe it. My two female best friends from Hogwarts are gone.

Marlene died on a mission for the Order, murdered by Bellatrix Lestrange. It was so heartbreaking for me when I found out the news in the following Order meeting. Like earlier today, I used James's shirt as a tissue, absorbing all the tears that followed from my eyes. Marlene and I were the closest in our little group of four - Marlene, Alice, Mary and me - while Alice and Mary were closer  I stayed in our room for the rest of the day, not letting James in at all. He probably knew he could cast Alohmora and unlock the door but I guess he wanted me to have some space, which I was grateful for. Just before dinner time, I'm guessing he had enough of me moping around. He finally casted Alohomora and let himself into our room. Surprisingly, I still had tears to cry. They were flowing down my face like a waterfall. I had also screamed into my pillow quite a few times earlier.

James came and sat on the bed by my side, not saying anything to me. All he did was rub soothing circles on my back as I continued to sob. I soon cried myself to sleep.

I will be forever grateful for his presence that night. He comforted me when I didn't ask him to, he did not pressurise me by making me get up and do things. He left me alone for a while so that I could sort out my thoughts and feelings and them came in when he felt like I needed more comfort than my pillow could bring me.

I love my arrogant-toe-rag.

I love that nickname too :)

_(End of POVs - Third Person)_

Dumbledore apparated James and Lily to Number 12 Grimmauld Place. He then cast the Disillusion charm on them, making them blend into the background but not completely invisible. If you looked hard enough, you could see the faint outlines of them.

Dumbledore then let himself into the house and called for Sirius and Remus.

At that point in time, Sirius Black was reading the Daily Prophet while drinking a cup of hot coffee. He had recently discovered this muggle drink which Arthur introduced him to and enjoys it quite a bit. A little too much though according to Remus.

Remus Lupin was doing something quite similar to Mr Black, both of them sitting on the dining table. Remus was reading a book titled "The Maze Runner" while drinking some tea.

Mr Black and. Mr Lupin were both home alone at this point in time because the childr- teenagers (they don't enjoy being called children. Molly says that they still are though. Oh whatever) were in school and the other members of the Order were working.

Sirius being a supposed mass murderer obviously has no job while Remus has a furry little problem so he has not been able to be hired since his job in Harry's third year.

At Dumbledore's call, Sirius and Remus stopped reading and looked up, surprised to have a visit from the headmaster.

"Professor Dumbledore, to what do I owe this pleasure?" Remus asked, curious.
