A Family Once More

TWENTY FIVE ~ Inconsiderate

Meanwhile, In Madam Pomfrey's office

_Third Person_

"Dumbledore, he has no memory anything, and he seems to have developed a high pain tolerance." Madam Pomfrey started.

"Poppy," Dumbledore started, "Severus has told me that Potter has been treated rather badly over those two weeks. You see.."

"He was tortured by multiple death eaters. But mainly by Bellatrix and Voldemort," He paused for a bit to gather his thoughts. "Bellatrix mainly used the cruciatus curse and some muggle methods of torture. However, Voldemort stuck to the more magical methods and tried multiple new potions and spells on him, making him feel pain as one of the side effects. For example, Severus saw Voldemort using a spell which restricted his lungs, basically chocking him." 

He paused once more for Poppy to grasp all these horrifying news. News that he had already suspected, but Dumbledore had confirmed it for her. 

"So, you are saying that the lack of memory of recent events is the result from the cruciatus curse?" She paused, allowing Dumbledore to nod his head in answer. "And he has an extremely high pain tolerance because of all the pain he had gone through during the two weeks of torture?" She asked again, not wanting to believe what her favourite patient had gone through, and to think that he got taken away while he was in Hogwarts, where security was supposed to be tight and it was supposed to be a safe space for all the kids. 

Dumbledore nodded in reply once more. "I'm afraid so Poppy. Now I think that it would be best that we do not inform Harry of what he has gone through. I think it is actually a benefit to him because he does not have to remember the pain he went through during those two weeks. He already knows that he was in a coma for a long 3 months am I right?"

Poppy nodded to confirm that Harry did indeed know that he had been unconscious for a long period of time. 

"Well, then, I don't think he needs to know much more than that." 

"But headmaster, won't he ask what has happened?"

"We can give him a brief description. Say that he was kidnapped by Voldemort and was brought to the Death Eater's Headquarters for about two weeks before the Order. managed to locate the location of the Headquater and bring him back to Hogwarts." 

"Alright. However, just to let you know Headmaster, I did some checks on his brain and there is a chance that his memory of these events may come back to him at night, seeing as he usually has nightmares." 

"If he remembers what happened, I don't think it is anything to worry about. I just don't want him to have to feel the pain so soon again. Hence I don't think it would be a good idea to tell him exactly what happened during those two weeks." 

"Albus, when will you tell him about his parents?" 

"Soon Poppy, soon." was Dumbledore's only reply before he walked out of the matron's office and towards Harry's bed." 

Back to Harry's bedside

"I don't think I am allowed to tell you anything Harry. I"m really sorry. I don't even know the details myself." Hermione told Harry. She really didn't know how to tell Harry that he had been kidnapped by Voldemort and tortured, and that they had a fight the night before. 

"Oh okay then. I guess I'll just wait for Dumbledore to tell me what happened?" Harry asked,  feeling a little disappointed that none of his friends could tell him what happened, and why he has no memory of those events.
