A Family Once More

TWENTY ONE ~ Having some fun

Lily and James smiled at each other after hearing Sirius's surprised shouts. 

James started laughing slightly even though he didn't know what Remus did to Sirius. This caused Lily to start laughing too, and by the end of it, the two of them were laughing so hard and James was rolling on the floor. 

Once they managed to gather themselves together, James suggested that they go check on Remus and Sirius. 

"Alright." Lily replied. James held out a hand for her once he got up and Lily gratefully took it. However, James missed the mischievous glint in her eyes, for when her hand made contact with his,  she pulled him down back onto the floor while she pulled herself up. 

James fell back onto the floor, nearly landing face first because of the way Lily pulled him down. 

"Hey! Lils! What was that for?" James exclaimed, feigning hurt. 

Lily just blinked her eyelashes innocently. 

"Oopsies." 

"Challenge accepted Lils. I'll get you back for this one." James counted back,  eager to get back at Lily for this. 

"Whatever." She replied as she flicked her hair back behind her gracefully. 

She started walking towards Sirius's room, wanting to find out what chaos Remus caused in there.

She opened the door to see Sirius glaring at Remus, while Remus looked smug, not at all caring about the murderous look Sirius was shooting at him. 

Sirius was drenched from head to toe. His hair sagging down slightly below his shoulders. 

When James saw the sight, the first thing he did was laugh. 

"Oh Moony. Such a classic wake up call." James laughed. He laughed so hard that he was once again rolling on the floor.

"Really Prongs. You wound me." Sirius whined back. 

Once James controlled himself, he smiled back at Sirius. 

"Come on Padfoot, we've been doing that to you since year 2. You gotta expect it some day." James shot back. 

Sirius just sighed. 

"Shoo! I want to get changed." Sirius replied. 

The others left the room with a laugh. 

Once they exited the room, Remus countered James. 

"Feeling better Prongs?" 

"Yeah. Thanks for that Moons. You too Lils." 

"We will always stick together, no matter what." Remus smiled back. 

Lily just smiled and nodded, bringing in the trio for a group hug. 

At that moment, Sirius stepped out of his room, all dry and changed. 

"Hey! What did I miss?" 

The three of them hesitated before Remus said, "Jamsie here just had a minor breakdown." 

Remus chuckled slightly as James shot him a glare. 

Sirius looked sad and then went to hug James, whispering, "I'm always here if you need to talk about it Prongs." Sirius had a feeling that it was about Harry, he knew his best friend well. 

James smiled sadly, "Thanks." 

Since they were just standing in the corridor, Sirius had not yet seen the mess on the floor made by James. 

When they entered, Sirius gasped. 

James blushed slightly and muttered, "Oops."

With a swish of his wand, he cleaned the floor of all the food bits. 

"I was making breakfast you know, when uh, things got a little out of hand?" James said, sounding like he was asking a question to Sirius. 

"I see. You are really bad at cooking James." Sirius replied. 

James took offence to that, seeing as it was his mother who taught him how to cook and she was a brilliant cook. 

"Hey! I'm not bad!" 

"Alright. You honestly are a good cook Prongsie." Sirius teased back." 

James smiled contently. 

"Well, then we better start cooking breakfast. Since James's attempt was ruined." Lily suggested. 

"Right ho!" Sirius exclaimed. 

The four of them got to work. Lily was making pancakes, James was cooking beacon. Remus and Sirius were making different types of eggs. 

Soon, they were gathered at the table and eating their home-cooked breakfast. 

They were all talking about the most random things. 

Why the sky is blue and all that jazz. 

When they were nearly done, James was just left with his butter bear, Sirius brought up a question that should not be asked during  meals. 

"So, James, Lily, when are you going to have baby number 2?" 

James was halfway drinking his butter bear when Sirius spoke, causing him to spit everything out on Sirius, seeing as he was directly opposite him. 

"Hey! Prongsie! I just asked an innocent question! What was that for?" Sirius shot back, slightly pissed. 

He cleaned his clothes with a quick scourgify. 

"Innocent?" James exclaimed. "Innocent question? Really Padfoot, we know what you were. really implying." 

Sirius just. innocently blinked his eyelashes at James. Then, he turned to Lily. 

"You've been awfully quiet Lilypads. Do you have anything to say?" Sirius asked, winking at her. 

She smirked slightly. "Well, James. Sirius is right. Harry should have a sibling shouldn't he? How about tonight?" 

James was struck speechless. His jaw was left open wide, shock was found through all his features.  

He opened and closed his mouth for a while, trying to find some words. 

Sirius started wolf whistling. Even Remus joined in for a while. 

After another minute of James constantly opening and closing his mouth, he finally found some words. 

"Well, um... Sure Lils.  But.. um... maybe after Harry knows we are are alive." He stumbled over his words, stuttering. 

Lily just smirked at him. "Struck you speechless, have I?" 

"Um..." James scratched the back of his head uncertainly. 

Lily just laughed at his embarrassment. She walked over to him and kissed his cheek. 

After that, she whispered in his ear. "Seems like I'm the only one who can get you speechless, isn't it?" 

What she said was actually true. In their seventh year of Hogwarts, they became friends and were not constantly annoying each other. Soon enough, they were dating. During that time, the only person who could embarrass him till he was speechless. Even his husband, Sirius, could not manage that act. 

"Seems like you're right." James replied, and gave Lily a light peck on the lips. 

"Hey, you two birds, stop it.  We have to go visit Harry." Sirius exclaimed. 

Remus just shook his head with a smile, he loved seeing James and Lily bond, they were the cutest couple he had ever seen. 

With that, the four of them headed off to the Hospital Wing to see Harry.
