Later that day after all my lectures were good and done, I decided to make a visit to Kaleb's house to assess the situation, to see if he was actually dead, or just staying away from school, because if he was staying away from school, he picked a hell of a time to do it. I had to get my car form home first before going, so it took me a while to get there. I parked the car a little distance away, to not seem suspicious, then got off, but when I did the room at the top right corner of the house was the first thing that came in sight for me, the same room my sister was in when she had that bloodied knife in her hands. I was frozen in that spot for a while, just standing there, until a hand snaked around my waist, which frightened the crap out of me, abruptly turning around to see who it was, it was no one other than Kaleb Anderson standing there smiling at me.

"Kaleb, what the actual fuck, why are you here?", I asked him in frustrated tone, "Jess what are you talking about?, I should be asking you that, you are at my house", and he enunciated on the my. I realized that was a stupid first thing to say, but still I wasted no time, I frantically searched his entire body for scars, stiches or anything that would suggest he was stabbed, I saw nothing on the parts I could see, so I lifted up his T-shirt and pulled it back over his head, and he started to chuckle pulling down his t-shirt back over his torso. "Jess, if you wanted a peek all you had to do was ask, he said smirking at me. I scoffed pushing him back a little, "Kaleb, this is not funny, I saw you die", I screamed, and he looked at me with wide eyes and then completely broke into a fit of laughter. "Alright Jess whatever you have I want some, cuz time I checked and what you are seeing now is all my functions are intact and I am breathing, fully capable of talking to you right now.", he said in a matter of factly tone grabbing my hand to reassure me that he was actually in fact here. I turned around from his face, and really tried hard to recollect all I had seen the night my sister was hovering over a body with knife in hand and blood rolling off its pointed tip, I was sure I saw someone with beach blonde hair with red at tips lying there motionless. Not everyone was just walking around with that hairstyle but Kaleb was in fact here breathing and functioning, so what did I see that night.

Now that I confirmed Kaleb was alive, there was only one more option I could have thought of right then and there, I had to follow my sister, and see where she went every evening till nighttime, when she said she was working, maybe those men I saw that night was still hovering around her. Everyone knew Maddie had a job, but no one really knew where, and what she did, and it was about time I found out. Taking two steps forward to get leave, Kaleb took my wrist and then spun me around, and gently snaked his arm around my waist. "I know you were worried about me Jae, but how worried were you?", he asked seductively, with his lips close enough to my ear that I feel his hot breath. I only registered what was happening when a car horn sounded in the distance, as it was coming down the street to enter the main road. "Kaleb what are you doing?", I shouted at him pushing him away much harsher than before, and he chuckled as he touched his lips. "Just getting a reminder of what we had before we broke up", he said seductively again as he inched forward again with lust in his eyes.

"I did not come here for a hook-up or a make out session, I came to see if you were okay", I responded as my index finger shot up in the air as he still tried to inch closer to me. "Well seeing that you were worried, I thought hey, let me take a shot", and he shrugged, the asshole shrugged, he knew I had a boyfriend, his friend and he shrugged. "I know you know I'm with Matty so why would so pull a stunt like that?", he looked at me with the same lust in his eyes, and a smile crept on his face this time, a second time I turned to leave, but this time he pull me into his arms, and his hands again found its way to my waist, "don't be shy Jess", he said while looking into my eyes, "tell me, how does it feel to be back into my arms again?', he said smiling. "Smack!', his head turned to the left as I slapped him straight across his face, he wasn't upset he just laughed, and put his hand to where I had slapped him, as I stood back. "Don't you ever put your hands or lips on me again", I said shakily, with tears forming in my eyes. I stepped back slowly facing him so he wouldn't pull a stunt like before on me again, with the son of a bitch still smiling as I was distancing myself from him. Seeing that we were far enough apart, so that he wouldn't grab me, I turned around and ran to my car. 'How does it feel to be back in my arms again?', his words still lingering in my mind, because honestly I did feel something when we were centimeters apart from each other, the same way I felt when we would fool around like before, it wasn't as strong, but it was there, and I hated myself for it, but at least I know for sure that he wasn't dead although I still had to worry about who that was when Maddie held that bloodied knife over an unconscious or dead person, at that time.

"We could get caught Kaleb", I laughed as he trailed kisses down my neck, he raised his head for a brief moment and looked around to his left and then to his right, "Jae, there's no one here or anywhere close for that matter", he said in a slight panting voice, and then he went for another attack of kisses to my neck. I had to admit at that time, the feeling of being with Kaleb was a time of bliss, but not anymore. I touched the nape of my neck, where Kaleb kissed that night when we were first intimate in the alley-way behind the club for my eighteenth birthday. A car horn from the car behind me snapped me out of my daydream, and I looked up, the light was now green, I quickly, put the car in drive mode, and made my way to my house. It was getting dark, and I needed to get home before my sister started getting ready for work.
