Sunday went by quickly unlike school days, so here I was, getting ready to go to campus. This morning my sister wasn't really phased from whatever happened last night, she acted the same way, no visible marks were on her body, so I guess she was fine, physically I mean and if she did mentally she had a good way of hiding it. Got to school and it was the same ole same ole. My friends were waiting for me at the entrance Matty and Kaleb were even there, so it was a bit strange to say the least because they were the only two avoiding me at this point. "Hey guys what's up?", I said nervously fiddling with my backpack straps not making eye contact with neither Kaleb nor Matty, "nothing much just waiting for you", Tiggs answered, "why though?", "well the made an early announcement, everyone from our year is to make their way to the auditorium for a quick meeting before going to class, on the plus side we'll miss the first half an hour of bio-chemistry so good on us", Tiggs beamed, it was good news, because I was not in the mood to focus on anything constructive. "Come on let's go", Tiggs said as she grabbed onto my forearm to pull me, but it was the same one where I got the cut, so I pulled away and hissed at the pain.

Luckily all of them had their backs turned except for Matty and Kaleb, Kaleb looked a little concerned, but he said nothing and left, Matty didn't look twice though he just started walking away, it didn't faze me as much but I had to admit I was a little hurt. "It's nothing Tiggs let's go", and I pulled her towards the others. "Jess I need to talk to you", I turned my head and there was Matty leaning up against a large pillar, I looked back at Tiggs and told her to text me if anything important happens, she nodded and went off to the others. "You wanted to talk?", I started off as I shoved my hands in the pockets of my sweatshirt. "What happened to your arm?", he asked, I looked down at my arm without removing my hands from the pockets, "nothing much, just got a little scrape", "a little scrap huh, then let me see", I didn't want to show him, but he kept pestering me, I pulled back my hands, and he came forward, "really Matty, it's nothing to be concerned about", he obviously didn't believe me, because when I was walking away, he took hold of my good arm, pulled me closer to him, and raised the part of my sweatshirt that was above that was concealing the cut.

He looked taken aback because some blood had seeped through the gauze and the blood was now visible on the outside, from the cut he looked me in the eye, "just a scrape Jess, what is this?, how did you get it really?", I couldn't tell him the truth, but I didn't want to lie to him, so I just kept quiet. He was looking at me impatiently now, but I still didn't give an answer, "so because we're not together you're keeping secrets huh?", he said, "Matty it's not like that, it's just not something you should concern yourself with", I said trying to shake him off my tail, "ohhhh so it doesn't concern me", he said surprised, "no I mean you don't have to worry" I said trying to make it sound less like he shouldn't care what I did because the first answer did sound a little iffy. "Fine don't tell me, but let's still go to the infirmary and get it cleaned up and changed".

The campus was huge so it did take us a while to get there, and we did in utter silence. He looked steadily at my hand, I did the stitching's since we trained to do that earlier on in the year, so he didn't have to do much, he just had to clean the wound and dress it. I wanted to spend more time with him, but he finished quickly, so when he was all done I took his face, looked his in the eyes and went in for a kiss. Thankfully he didn't move away we kissed gently at first and it went a little hungrily after, he was careful not to hurt me by touching my cut and he lift me up on the bed. He was in between my legs, and we were making out just as we would when we were together, and I must admit I liked it. When we parted we put out foreheads together panting a little. "Matty, I missed you", I started, and he responded, "I missed you too Jess"

We sat on the bed talking for a while, and everything was going great, "Jess listen what we did was a one-time thing for now, we have to ease our way back into it we can't just pick up where we left off", I knew it was coming, and I really did understand where he was coming from so I shook my head agreeing with what he was saying, "I know and I understand we should take it slow, and hopefully one day we'll get there", I said as I turned to him and smiled and he smiled back gripping my hand to bring it to his face to kiss it, "one more thing he said as I jumped off the bed, "can we keep it between us for now?", "yeah sure, I was actually thinking the same thing" I replied. I was happy he was willing to work things out with me, I gave him one last kiss on the lips, and then we parted ways.

"Yeah, we did the meet, it was nothing that I couldn't handle, but you have to still play it safe or you're screwed", I could definitely tell it was my sister, and I was willing to bet it was Kaleb who was on the receiving end of that conversation, and I was right. He was standing there with his hands in his pocket" nodding away to everything my sister was saying, "so when's the deal?", he finally said , directing it to my sister, "He's gonna be doing business out of the area for a while, so you could make your move then, but remember Kaleb, you can' t get caught no matter what", he nodded in agreement again, "meet me at the east wing after class behind the headmaster's statue, and I'll give you the rest of the info when I get it", my sister spoke again, and with that he turned and walked away, leaving my sister there standing alone, it took her two minutes to gather her stuff from off the bench, and once she had everting she left, leaving me now standing alone behind a pillar.

I was waiting the entire day just for them to meet up with each other so I could again listen in on their conversations. After me, Kaleb was the first one to arrive, he sat on the bench, waiting for my sister to arrive, he took out his phone and started fiddle with it to pass some time. "Sorry I'm late Mr. Owens just would not let me leave, she said in an exasperated tone as she sat down a little too close for Kaleb's comfort, because he made some distance not long after she sat down. "So, what's the plan?", Kaleb asked as he locked his phone, and put it in his pocket. "Well Nadine told me the stuff was at the Northern branch warehouse, so he'll pick it up form there around the fifteenth of this month first, and then be back to the club to make the deal, you just need to be there in case something goes wrong", she looked at Kaleb and when she realized she wasn't getting any verbal confirmation, she nudged his shoulder, he snapped up, and said he understood. "Anything else?", he said in a monotone voice, she got up, and stood in front of Kaleb who was still sitting down, "are you still involved with my sister?", Kaleb looked up at her and looked her in the eyes for some time before he got up, "that's none of your business, whatever happens between me and Jess is our business not yours", that was the last thing he said before he walked away. My sister must have been really pissed because she kicked the closest garbage can in front of her and tugged at her hair.
