The company were able to find stairs leading down the carrock. Thorin ended up forcing a Fiona to let him carry her since she was still partially weak. The same went for Amanda who was none to happy about being carried like a child.Camp was set up when night fell and the company sat round the fire together having dinner. Amanda sat on Kilis lap, playing with locks of his hair while Fiona chose to lay on the grass with Thorins lap as a pillow, he in Turn was stroking her hair gently.
"I still can't believe we have the two great spirits right here with us. To think we didn't see it'" Balin smiled.
"I'm just glad they helped you two back there. You were lucky" Nori commented. Fiona and Amanda smiled "yeah we were..." Amanda mumbled.
"It is because the spirits have merged with you. You will find your abilities grow in strength and you must learn to control them, especially the fire and water bending" Gandalf explained
"Wow! That's amazing!" Fili grinned.
"Can you show us!?" Kili asked Amanda in excitement.
"Some other time Kili, I mean we just rose from the dead a few hours ago" Fiona joked
"She is right, and I think we could all do with a little sleep" Gandalf said while laying against a tree. The other dwarves mummered in agreement and settled down.
Amanda curled into Kili with a sigh and laced her fingers through his. She felt him kiss her forehead and smiled. "I meant everything I said about my promise my love. You are my true match, and I will always love you and protect you" he whispered. Amanda smiled and kissed his cheek "I love you" she said
"And I love you. Goodnight my star" he whispered.
Fiona sat up from her position and settled herself onto Thorins lap. He wrapped the ends of his large coat around her and chuckled as she snuggled her face into his neck.
"Fiona...promise me you won't risk your life for me like that again...I can't bear the thought of loosing you again" he mumbled to her. She moved her head from his neck "I can't make any promises...its a wolf thing..." She said with a smile.
"A wolf thing eh?" He asked. She nodded "it's a little strange but it's called imprinting. The more I was with you, the more my heart grew for you and nothing mattered but you.so even when you are in danger I will come to your aid...you won't loose me again" she said, brushing her lips over his lips softly. Thorin eagerly returned her kiss and laid his forehead against hers "fine...but know this you are my priority as well. I love you my angel" he said
"And I love you to the moon and back" Fiona said before dozing off against his chest, feeling the thump of his heartbeat. Thorin smiled and looked over at the sleeping company. Gandalf kept watch so he dozed off into a well earned rest......
A few days came by later and the company vaguely noticed the girls growing stronger. They were able to walk on their own without worry and began mastering their element powers. Amanda put her high fuse to good use and used her anger to help practice her fire bending with her martial arts.
Fiona chose to be more mellow with her skills by using her body to move with the water. She was graceful and was able to make decent waves and whips with her skill.
But the time now was to move on with the quest and danger was around the corner acording to Fionas nose.
"I can smell them. But it's hard to track where exactly" she told Thorin. He nodded and looked to Bilbo "master Baggins, can you climb up those rocks and scout?" He asked.
Bilbo nodded and began climbing. He looked over the rocks and had a look around until he spotted Azog with his pack in the distance. Bilbo ducked when the orc turned his way.
