Fiona and Amanda laid quietly with their loves and Fili kept between them all. War continued to rage on from below the icy fortress they laid upon. Thorin glanced down at his angel that laid on his chest and brushed her hair softly.

"My love...my angel of the moon...will you and Amanda...sing for us?" He asked quietly, resting his large hand on her cheek. Amanda raised her head and looked towards the fallen king.

"Sing?" She asked.

"You both have the voices of angels...we would like to hear you one last time" Kili croaked while caressing Amanda's cheek.

"Yes...sing for us...we want...to hear something beautiful...before we go." Fili croaked. Fiona whimpered and laid her forehead against Fili's.

"Please don't say that Fili, your...your all going to be ok." She whimpered.

"Yeah Fili, we promised..."

"You and I both know it's true my love. Please...both of you...do it for us." Kili asked quietly. Amanda and Fiona looked at each other with tears in their eyes

'We can't let them die like this.' Fiona whispered to Amanda in her mind.

'My tears aren't enough to heal them Fiona.' Amanda replied. Silence fell between them as they looked at the three Durins who were so close to death.then fionas eyes widened.

'Amanda. Remember that day, when the Phoenix and wold told us of a power, that would rise the fallen?' She asked. Amanda realised what she was talking about and she looked at Fili.

'the cost to do such a spell. I understand now. But if we do we may not have the strength to finish it. We are wounded badly.' she replied feeling tears creep into her eyes. Fiona smiled softly.

' We can do it! It's our destiny. We have to do it.' She whispered. Amanda looked at her and nodded.

'For them...we will do it...' She said. Fiona nodded and watched Amanda take Kilis hand then placed his other one in Fili's. Fiona had Thorin take Filis other hand while she held one of his. The girls looked at each other and linked their own hands together.

'Thank you Amanda, for being like a sister to me, for being my best friend, without you I'd be nothing.' Fiona said. Amanda smiled.

'Together we are a team my dear friend. we are loyalty, honour, and a willing heart. You will always be dear to me Fiona...we did this together...now we finish it together.' Amanda spoke. She looked at Kili and kissed him.

"I love you Kili" she whispered aloud. Kili smiled softly.

"And I love you my bright star" he whispered back. Fiona looked down at Thorin and buried her face in his chest.

"I am sorry for everything I said Fiona....for hurting you...you gave me your heart and I broke it" he chocked. Fiona caressed his hair and kissed his forehead

"Shh sh sh no my love, you haven't broken it. You kept it together and mended it Thorin. I'll love you forever, to the moon and back" she whispered. Thorin smiled and let her kiss his lips.

"To the moon and back my love." He mumbled. The girls looked at each other and nodded.

"we'll sing for you now"Amanda whispered.

As they sung, they channeled their powers together and let their energy seep from their bodies.

'Our dear Spirits, hear our plea.' Fiona thought as she sung. Tears ran down their faces as they sang softly. Their voices drifted softly through the air and down onto the battlefield below as the last orc was slayen.

'Give life to those that have fallen, those who have good hearts... Let them live... Let us replace them" she said further. As their words and voices drifted to Elves, man and dwarf who had fallen in battle, slowly but surely they began to glow. The survivors stood in the field of the dead just listening to the words being sang as the sun shone a gentle mourning light down upon the. The survivors eyes were caught by the ever growing glow from the dead. Some glowed blue and some glowed red. Gandalf saw this occurrence and let out a small sighed and shook his head,.

"No...they couldnot be? Those foolish girls..." He mumbled

"They are- they are sacrificing their lives for the fallen ones" Thranduil gasped. Their eyes were drawn from the glowing dead and up to the top of raven hill, where they saw a bright growing light at the ice fortress and shielded their vision. The girls held their hands tight and looked at each other one last time. They smiled at each other and closed their eyes.

'Goodbye' they whispered.
