Samantha and Fred never again discussed what happened with Angelina at the party, they both just wanted to forget that it didn't happen after they talked everything out.

Samantha believed Fred, she trusted that he was telling her the truth, that he didn't kiss her and pushed her away right when it happened.

It was now early December, and all the Gryffindor students fourth year and up were told to meet McGonagall in the great hall.

Samantha sat by Alicia and the two girls were whispering to one another.

"Do you know why we are here?" Samantha asks and Alicia shakes her head.

"No clue. I wonder what it is about." Alicia whispers back and Samantha looked at her girl best friend and sighed.

"Probably something to do with the tournament. You know Mrs. Weasley pack all the boys dress robes?" Samantha says and Alicia looks at her confused.

"Yeah I know, she said that they'll be needing them this year." Samantha mumbles and Alicia thinks for a few seconds.

"Maybe a ball?"

"Oh god I hope not." Samantha says making both of the girls burst out laughing.

Fred looked over when he heard Samanthas laugh and he couldn't help but smile at her.

"Stop staring it's weird." George whispers and Fred and he rolls his eyes glaring at his twin.

"I wasn't staring." Fred whispers to George and he shakes his head patting Fred's shoulder.

"Sure you weren't." George mumbles but Fred heard and he shoved George away from him.

McGonagall walk into the room and stands in the middle of it so every student could see her.

"The yule ball has been a tradition of
the tri-wizard tournament since its
inception. On Christmas eve night we
and our guests gather in the great hall
for well mannered frivolity. As representitives of the host school I expect each and every one of you to put your best foot forward, and I mean this literally because the yule ball is first and foremost," McGonagall takes a dramatic pause glancing at the girls, "a dance."

All the girls but Samantha and Alicia squeal happily, the two girls shared an annoyed look.

"Great now we have to get dresses." Samantha grumbles.

"If we get a date." Alicia whispers back and Samantha snickers knowing George has been crushing on Alicia for months and would take this opportunity to ask her to the dance.

"The house of Godrick Griffindore
has commanded the respect of the wizard
world for nearly ten centuries. I will
not have you in the course of a single
evening besmirching that name by behaving like a babbling, bumbling band of baboons." McGonagall says and Samantha looks at Fred who winked at her. Samantha shakes her head and turns her attention back to McGonagall.

"Now to dance is to let the
body breathe, inside every girl a secret
swan slumbers longing to burst forth
and take flight." McGonagall says and Samantha watched as Ron whispered something to Seamus and they both laugh gaining McGonagalls attention.

"Inside every boy a lordly lion prepared
to prance. Mr Weasly, will you join
me." Ron looks at McGonagall confused and she nods her head.

Seamus and Harry both push Ron towards McGonagall and Samantha held back a laugh.

McGonagall grabs Ron and pulls him closer to her to demonstrate how to dance, Samantha was laughing lightly her and Alicia leaning against each other for support.
