Samantha opens her eyes slowly, she had to blink quickly because her eyes felt dry and itchy. Her body felt sore and slightly stiff while there was a horrible taste that lingered in her mouth.

A small groan leaves her life as she lifts her hand to her forehead and tries her best to put her body into a sitting position.

"Ms Potter you must be careful!" Madame Pomfrey says walking over to Samantha taking her face in her hands.

Samantha looks at the healer confused. Why was she in the hospital wing? What time was it?

"Samantha!" Hermione yells throwing herself into the teenagers arms. Samantha looks down at Hermione confused and hugs her back. Hermione hides her face in the girls neck while her arms were wrapped around her body.

"What happened?" Samantha whispers looking at Madame Pomfrey. The healer gives her a small smile and rests her hand on Samanthas cheek gently.

"You Ms. Potter are a brave girl. You tried to save Ms. Granger and ended up being petrified by a Basilisk." The healer explains and Samanthas eyes widen as she tightens her hold on Hermione.

"I tried to do as you said Samantha, but I heard you fall and I ran to the girls bathroom and looked in the mirror to see it behind me. I'm so sorry I didn't do as you said." Hermione cries on the girls shoulder.

"Shh It's okay Hermione. It's okay. I'm just glad you're okay now." Samantha whispers kissing the side of her head gently.

Samantha looked around to see the other petrified students sitting in their beds looking almost as confused as her.

If they were awake did that mean the chamber was closed now? Was the Basilisk was gone? Who even opened the chamber?

"Sammy! Sammy I'm so sorry." Ginny yells running over to her crying. Samantha didn't even notice Mr and Mrs Weasley walking towards her as well.

Hermione let go of Samantha to let Ginny run into the girls arms. Ginny laid in the bed beside her holding onto her tightly as she sobbed.

"What Gin? Why are you apologizing?" Samantha asks confused running her fingers through the first years hair gently.

"It's all my fault. I was writing in this diary and it wrote back. I didn't know what I was doing but apparently I was the one who opened the chamber and made everyone petrified. Please don't hate me Sammy, I'm so sorry." Ginny cries squeezing her tighter.

Samanthas eyes widen at Ginnys words. Samantha thought back to all the times Ginny was missing and then a body was found, she noticed Ginnys odd behavior and should have known something bad was happening to her.

"It's alright Ginny. I'm not mad, you didn't know what you were doing." Samantha whispers to the first year. Ginny looks up at her tears streaming down her face breaking Samanthas heart.

"Really?"

Samantha smiles and nods her head wiping away the tears on her cheeks.

"Really." Ginny smiles and cuddles next to Samantha as her parents walk over to her.

Mrs Weasley examines Samantha making sure that she was perfectly okay making Samantha smile widely at her actions.

"Oh we are so glad you're alright dear." Mrs Weasley says before pulling Samantha into a tight hug. Samantha would have gratefully returned the hug but her arms were preoccupied holding Ginny.

"I'm glad to be alright. How long was I even out?" Samantha asks as Mrs Weasley pulls away from her. Everyone looks at Samantha worriedly before Mr. Weasley told her.
