Samantha woke up with a small smile on her face. Today was Christmas, and also the day of the Yull Ball.

"Get up!" Alicia yells running over to Samanthas bed. Samantha smiles widely at her friend and Alicia grabs her arms and pulls the Potter out of her bed.

"Merry Christmas Alicia." Samantha says smiling widely again as her best friend pulls her into a tight hug.

"Merry Christmas Samanatha." Alicia says back pulling away.

Samantha goes to go grab the small black box that had a red ribbon tied around it. She hands to Alicia who smiles widely taking the box but running over and grabbing a similar box just like it, only there was a blue ribbon attached.

Samantha takes the box smiling widely and slowly untying the ribbon. Her brown eyes widen when she opens the box to see a pair of diamond earrings.

"Oh my god!" The two girls yell at the same time.

"Samantha! This is beautiful!" Alicia yells looking at the red ruby gemmed necklace  Samantha had bought her.

"Alicia thank you." Samantha says looking at the earrings.

"Of course. Anything for my bff and Tournament Champion." Alicia says winking at Samantha making her roll her eyes.

"I hate you."

"No you don't, you love me. Come one everyone else is down stairs." Alicia says excitedly. The two girls put their presents down before running down to the common room.

Since almost everyone from 4th year and up stayed for Christmas the common room was unusually packed. But the two girls managed to find their friends because of the group of red heads that stuck out like a sore thumb.

"Sam!" Harry yells happily when he sees his sister. He gets up from his seat in the floor and runs over pulling her into a tight hug. Samantha laughs lightly and hugs Harry back tightly.

"Merry Christmas Bub." Samantha whispers making Harry squeeze her tighter.

"Merry Christmas Sam." Harry whispers back pulling away smiling at his sister. Harry grabs her hand and drags her over to the rest. Samantha sat in between Harry and Fred.

"Merry Christmas love." Fred whispers to Samantha gently.

"Merry Christmas Freddie."

The group of friends spent the morning trading and opening gifts. Samantha got George and Lee some new pranking things from Zonkos, Hermione some more books and quills, Ron a bag full of sweets and candys, and she got Harry a book on Quidditch history since he always checked the book out at the library.

Samantha wanted to give Fred his present in private since it was more personal compared to the others.

"I'm going to clean up quickly and meet you guys in the great hall." Samantha says picking up some wrapping paper from the floor. The others nod their heads and leave, all but Fred.

He stood by the portrait hole with his hands in his pockets which made Samantha look up at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Aren't you going with the others?" She asks smiling and Fred shakes his head, he walks over and wraps his arms around her waist kissing her lips gently.

"I got you this." Fred says pulling away from her lips, and taking out a black box from his pocket. Samantha smiles and hands Fred a small box as well, which he takes.

Samantha smiles when she opens the box to see an very beautiful ring, and her stomach dropped seeing it.

"Say something." Fred whispers gently and Samantha looks up at him.
