Izuku had been oddly close to Katsuki for the past day and a half and seemed a little happier, it made Katsuki wonder why. Izuku had finally managed to cut and it made him happy. So happy. He had missed the shiny blade so much he would live for it.

He had been cuddling with Katsuki, which the ruby eyed boy accepted with no hesitation, the rest of the class didn't dare question it, they were too scared of what King Explosion Murder would do them.

And then there was their tired cat of a teacher.

Aizawa hadn't told the ash-blond about the emerald-eyed boy's mother's death, how could he...?

He was just trying his best to be supportive with the greenette, when they got back from the camp, Izuku's life would be discussed, literally. Where would he even stay? Who would take care of him? His own father was out of the picture, that was obvious but what now...

He saw the boy more energetic and relaxed but at the same time, something in his eyes had changed. They were dull yet filled with determination now. He wondered if maybe he was grieving in his own way? No that couldn't be it. Which worried the ravenette even more.

Truth be told, all Izuku did was to fake. Day and night. No exceptions. He couldn't feel anything at all but everyone else was a little too busy with the summer camp training, as they should be.

Now it was the evening. The training for the day was over and the class was preparing dinner, even Izuku seemed to enjoy it, which made Katsuki smile.

Izuku skipped over to Katsuki's side with a big -fake- genuine smile, holding a bowl of vegetables, the ones chopped by Ururaka and Kirishima, "Here you g-go Kacchan-!" The greenette said as he gave the glass bowl to the blond.

"Thanks, Izu."

Without meaning to, Katsuki had gave away his worried tone, sure he was happy that Izuku was looking happier and was more energetic but it felt unusual...

"I-Is something bothering you, Kacchan?" Izuku asked, kneeling next to him, facing the fire that's doing the cooking, Katsuki looked away, he couldn't just say, 'Oh I don't know, why are you happy, Izuku?' Nope! That would be the dumbest thing he could say to the emerald green eyed boy.

"Nothing nerd, 'm just tired is all, don't mind me being all gloomy," Katsuki said as he ruffled up Izuku's curls gently and he could've sworn he saw a faint blush on Izuku's freckled cheeks, which made him smile, but he stopped right away so the extras wouldn't see it.

"Midoriya-Kun! I might need a bit of assistance here, if you could please-- Aaah Kaminari-Kun!!! You're not supposed to put that muCH SALT-!" Iida called out from the distance, making the others laugh while Sero pulled Kaminari away from Iida with his tape.

"I-I'll go help Iida t-then..." Izuku said and stood back up, head to the table where Iida was trying to peel a potato, leavening Katsuki alone. That's when a certain red-headed shark boi came into the picture.

"Hey Bakubro, you good man?" Kirishima asked with a sympathetic tone, Katsuki looked away, can he even trust shitty hair?

"Nothing shitty hair..."
