Jason paced along the halls of the hotel, ragged breaths escaped his mouth as he quickly made it down to the lobby. His heart was beating faster and faster as if it was going to pop out of his chest at any given moment.
He asked the lady for his keys to his car since he let the workers of the hotel valet park his car for him. His car was pulled infront, Jason tipped the man a hundred dollar bill and quickly sped off onto the street, leaving the man in awe. He wasn't expecting that much money for a tip, but he was considered a very lucky man, that's for sure.
The sky began to grow dark, the sun was disappearing under the horizon every second, no clouds were found in the sky, but one single star floating all by itself.
Jason clenched his jaw picturing who could have taken Zoey, little did he know it was someone he knew. He rummaged through his thoughts, trying to come up with the son of a bitch who took Zoey, but no one could come to his mind.
Tears blurred Jason's eyes, one tear streamed down his cheek and dripped off of his chin. His nose began to run and tinge red. "I'm coming Zoey." He could almost hear Zoey's screams and cries mentally into his head. It angered him everytime he thought about it.
The pedal was pushed half way to the floor, Jason was already going over sixty in a fifty-five speed limit zone. He was careless, he didn't give to shits if he was going over the speed limit, but if he got pulled over, now that would be a problem.
Jason grabbed his phone out of his pocket, dialing Zoey's number. The sound of constant rings lingered into Jason's ear as he patiently waited for an answer. Ragged, deep but soft breaths answered the phone. "Who is this?" Jason said with spite in his voice. You could hear the anger when he spoke. No one answered. "Answer me god damn it, if you hurt Zoey, I will make sure you fucking die you worthless piece of shit!" Veins popped out of Jason's forehead, his face was tinged red with anger. Murmuring mischevious laughs escaped the anonymous mans mouth.
That pissed Jason off even more. "I'll tell you where I am McCann." Jason knitted his eyebrows together. "Meet me at the alley." Before the call dropped, Jason could hear screams coming from Zoey. "Jase, no!"
Jason looked at the screen to his phone, noticing the call was dropped. "Fuck." He threw his phone into the passenger seat next to him, and put his car in the next gear. He wasn't even going to bother to call back. It would just make him even more mad.
The alley was all the way back home, it was going to take him a while until he got there. He had no intentions of going back home, but not everything goes as planned. Zoey was in danger and Jason's instinct was to go after her, and keep her safe.
Jason lit a cigarette and puffed on the end to calm his rage. He flicked the ashes out of the crack to the window, and blew out the smoke he inhaled.
Jason's eyes began to grow heavy, he hasn't had much rest. He drove all the way up to England now, it's going to take him the same amount to just get back to where he started. It seemed like something always had to happen when things were getting good, but that's just life.

The set of dawn began to peak along the sky. It was already six o'clock in the morning. Jason had already stopped by a gas station three times since he left England. His car took almost sixty bucks to fill his car up each time, but it wasn't like he didn't have enough money, he had enough to blow.
rumbling noises constantly annoyed Jason as he was driving along the highway. He wasn't focused on eating, the only thing he was focused on was getting Zoey back. He didn't know he could lose someone that quick in just a blink of an eye.
