A few months ahead...

It was a dreary day, the sky was filled with grey. The sun was hiding behind the clouds and trying to beam through the darkness and light up the sky, but the clouds were too much to bare. With the weather being like this, it seemed to fit the event that was being held... Jason's court day.

No one had good spirits about this because they all knew that either Jason was going to lose or win and not knowing that outcome is nerve racking.

The alley wasn't the same alley anymore. It held another crime. Another life. Another memory. Lengthening caution tape hung from the crime scene and everything was left the way it was when Jason left the night of Dani's death.

Jason, Abby have been staying with Zoey and her family for the past few months. It was very unusual at first, but once they settled in it was like normal. It just took some time getting use to things.

Albeit, Jason stood in front of the mirror, staring at his reflection as he fixed his tie to his suit. He always knew how to clean up good when he wanted to. As he was doing so, Zoey was running along her room searching for something to wear for court. Obviously, Zoey is a very picky person when it comes to her clothing. She cannot just put something on and go on about her day.

Clothes were flying left and right as Zoey slipped a shirt over her head and then take it off throwing it to the side. Jason began to grow impatient.

"Zoe, you have tried on three outfits already and all of them looked fine, would you please hurry up already? It's not like we are going to a damn party." Jason said in annoyance.

"Jason you know I have to look my best when it comes to things like this." Zoey said as she slipped on a black slim fitting dress and blocked Jason's view in the mirror.

"How does this look?" Zoey asked as she nibbled on her bottom lip, turning to admire her body in the dress. In her mind she would try to find something wrong about herself.

"Gorgeous, now get your hair done or I'm gonna do it for you." Jason said in a careless voice.

Zoey rolled her eyes and heaved a sigh.

Abby was already ready to go. Jane had let her wear something of Lily's. It was a dress with tiny Polka dots. A bow sat on top of her head. Her hair was in a high pony tail. Little baby hairs escaped and curled.

Abby came skipping into the room and found Jason. She tugged on his coat and waited for him to notice her. Jason craned his neck down finding a little beauty standing below him.

"Wow, look at my princess all dressed up. " Jason said crouching down on his knees to her level. Abby twirled her dress as her cheeks began to tinge red.

"All you need is a tiara." Jason said pecking Abby on her cheeks. Jason gazed deeply into Abby's eyes showing his love for her. She was the apple of his eye and she knew it. Even though it was his little sister, she was almost like a daughter to him.

Abby's smile turned into a frown. Her eyes blurred with tears.

"Abby why are you crying?" Jason asked in a worried tone.

Abby wrapped her arms around his neck as if he was leaving forever. Jason's humongous hands set on her tiny waist.

"I don't want you to leave me... What if you don't come back from court?" Quivers overwhelmed her speech.

"Oh sweetheart I promise I won't ever leave you. Come here." Jason pecked Abby's face and wiped away the tears that were streaming down her cheeks.
