Jane and Jack were sitting down in the living room discussing the situation they were going through with Zoey.
Since Zoey was home, it was a big relief to Jane since she had no idea where Zoey was. Little did she know that she had went to England and probably will never find out. Zoey wouldn't tell her anyways unless it accidentally slipped. Zoey had a big mouth when it came to hiding things, it depends on what it is.
"I'm just glad to have her back, and know that she is safe." Jane said in distress. She barely slept a wink since Zoey had left that night.
"Me too, but now she hates me even more." Jack sighed an audible breath rubbing his face with the palms of his hands.
"Jack, she doesn't hate you, she is just going through so much right now and she is going to say those things because she is hurting. She doesn't mean it."
Jack shook his head side to side. "She does mean it. Jason turned her into a monster Jane, she isn't herself. She told me I was dead to her."
Jane stayed silent, widening her eyes at his words. "He loves her Jack, and she loves him."
"So you are saying it's okay for our daughter to date this misfitted bastard? This is where you went wrong Jane, you let her date this guy knowing he was bad. That was ignorant and stupid." Jack snapped.
Although, Jane had no intentions of Zoey falling for Jason, but you can't tell someone to not love someone.
Jane clenched her jaw. "That is not why I am letting her date him Jack! I am letting her date him because I know what it's like to hurt, I know what it's like to want something and can't have it." Her voice began to quiver. Jack started to feel guilty. Jane did have a point. Jack cheated on her with his new wife, Lace. It seems like Jack is trying to move on from the past and start a new one, but not with Lace...
Jack closed his lips, letting out an audible breath. "I know I hurt you, and I am sorry for that, I wish I could take it back, but I can't. I regret hurting you and Zoey the way that I did, because now, I am getting the shitty end of it all."
"If you feel bad, then you shouldn't keep Jason away from Zoey.. telling her not to love someone is like telling her not breathe."
Jane walked out of the living room into the kitchen so she could be alone. Jack rubbed his chin with the tip of his thumb and index finger, wishing he wouldn't have said what he said.
Jack walked up stairs and knocked on Zoey's bedroom door, there was nothing but silence. "Zoey? I'm sorry." Jack murmured continuing to knock on the door with his knuckles.
"Zoe, please talk to me."
Jack sighed at the silence, he turned around finding Zoey behind him. "What are you doing?" Zoey asked knitting her eyebrows together.
"Oh.. I thought you were in your room."
Zoey shook her head side to side. "I was checking on Lily." Zoey walked pass her father, opening her bedroom door. "Zoey, I need to talk to you." Zoey slammed the door in his face, locking it behind her.
"I dont't need to talk to you, so just leave me alone."
"You are hurting your mother acting like this." Zoey sat on her bed, with her legs crossed. Her right leg underneath her left leg. She rolled her eyes at her dads words. Nothing could change her mind about how she felt about him.
"Zoey it's me, let me in." Jane spoke through the door. Zoey sighed, and got up from her bed and unlocked the door.
Zoey plopped back on her bed in the same position.
