Through the tiny window of the plane, Jason and and Abby admired their view. The sky was a dull gray and the sun was barely glistening. Jason's eyes focused on the outside as he was lost in his thoughts.Abby had her head resting on Jason's shoulder as they waited for take off. Jason noticed Abby was almost asleep on his shoulder. He pecked the top of her head and let out a tiny breath that only he could hear.
This reminded him of the first time Jason met Abby. He remembered sitting in the same exact position. It made him smile.
A lot of people were still boarding the plane and finding their seats. A beauty with blonde hair with a toddler on her hip walked up to Jason's seat and waited for Jason to turn his attention over to her. Her eyes were sky blue, her hair stopped at her shoulders.
"Sir, is this your daughters', I found it near your seat." Jason craned his neck towards the lady and immediatley snapped out of his trance. With a raise of his brow, Jason parted his lips and responded.
The lady was grasping a red bow in her hands. Jason took notice that Abby's bow missing.
"Uh... yeah thank you." Jason curved the corners of his mouth into a slight smile.
"Here you go sweetie." Abby grasped her bow and placed it in her lap.
"Now I have to find my seat." The lady said as she looked on her ticket. She roamed her eyes around looking for the seat number and there it was right in front of her.
"Ah, what a coinsidence. I sit right next to you guys." The blonde took her son by the hand and sat him down in the seat next to hers.
Jason reached for Abby's bow and pinned it back ontop of her pony tail where it was before.
"You're really good with her, I'm surprised, many young dads are dead beats." Jason glanced up and realized she was still speaking to him.
"Ma'am she isn't my daughter, she is my little sister." He responded politely.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know, but if you were her father it would not be a bad thing." The women smiled and stared into Jason's hazel eyes. Jason sensed the flirtation the women was throwing at him. It was flattering, but he knew it wasn't the right thing to do to flirt back. It crossed his mind.
"It's okay, it wasn't the first time, but I really appreciate it." Jason curled in his lips and cocked a brow as he spoke.
"And your name is?" Jason inquired as he made conversation.
"My name is Carter and this is Jaxon, he just turned five. How old is she?" Carter moved her bangs out of her face and trailed her tongue along her bottom lip.
"This is Abby and she is six years old." Jason placed his large hand on top of Abby's head as it swallowed it almost whole.
"Awh, and how about you?" Carter was not shy and she could ask questions all day long if she could. It was just her way of being friendly and Jason admired that about her.
"The name's Jason, Jason McCann." Jason hoped she did not recognize his name since he once was a criminal at one point. He swallowed nervously waiting for her to respond.
"Nice to meet you Jason, I look forward to this flight with you and this cutie." Carter placed her purse at her feet and rummaged through it for her phone. She was turning her phone on airplane mode and turned it off before the plane took off.
Jason fished for his phone out of his pocket and noticed he had a text from Zoey. He opened it and the text read:
