The room was dark. The full moon gleamed through the window with it's white glow. Zoey and Jason separately lay in Jason's bed without body contact. Jason was on his side facing the opposite direction of her and Zoey did the same. Jason fought his sleep and slowly moved his legs on the side of the bed to where his feet were touching the floor.  He rubbed his face with the palms of his hands and quietly made his way out of the room downstairs. Every soul was asleep in the house except one.

The glass door slid open as Jason walked out onto the porch. The midnight sky radiated above him as he flicked his lighter to a flame and lit his cigarette that hung out of his mouth. He took a puff and exhaled the smog that he took in. He could feel his stress gradually lifting off of him. His elbows rested on the side rail of the balcony and continued to puff on his cigarette and think about everything that was bothering him.

The thought of Zoey cheating on him burned in the back of his mind. The only thing that left him clueless was who she would cheat on him with. He did not know what to think or believe.

"Maybe I'm seeing something that's not there." He said to himself. "Or maybe she did cheat on me... fuck I don't know." His cigarette interrupted his words as he felt himself becoming stressed. All he wanted to do was sleep, not only sleep but sleep with Zoey and hold her in his arms.

In the beginning, Jason wouldn't have cared if Zoey cheated on him then, He was a much different person than he was when he first met her. He was heartless and cold. He was raised that way, but somehow Zoey showed him that love isn't just what you feel it's what you give to others.

Jason's back faced the glass door and a sleeping beauty stood in the door way with a teddy bear lodged in her arms. She stared at Jason without him knowing until she slid the door open with her free hand.

"Jase..." Abby said in a sweet innocent tone. Jason blew the smoke out of his mouth and flicked the cigarette off of the edge of the balcony. He immediately noticed Abby was standing on the door step with her fists rubbing her eyes.

"Abs, what are you doing up so late?" Jason bent down on his knees to her size and beamed his eyes into hers.

"I had a bad dream." Abby said softly. Jason moved Abby's messy curls behind her ear and rubbed her cheek with the back of his hand.

"It's okay princess, it was just a dream." In his arms, he swooped her off of her feet and carried her back into her bedroom and into her bed. He tucked her in and pecked the top of her head.

"Goodnight, don't let the bedbugs bite." Jason said as he sat on the edge of her bed. He motioned to get up but a tiny hand stopped him.

"Jase, could you sleep with me until the monsters go away." Jason couldn't say no to her puppy dog eyes.

"Yeah, scoot over munchkin." Jason said as he fit himself into the mini sized princess bed that was ten times smaller than him. His feet hung off the end of the bed, but he would literally do anything for his little sister.

Abby laid on Jason's chest and said "I love you." Jason smiled at her words and responded back with "I love you too Abs."

With that being said, soon enough Abby fell into a deep slumber as her back would rise with every constant breath and then fall. Soft snores escaped her tiny lips as she dreamed once again. Jason stared at the ceiling as he fought his sleep once again. It was not the same sleeping without Zoey's body against his and the scent of her hair lingering within his nose as they spooned within the night. His lips longed for hers on his. All he wanted to do was to love her, physically.
