You and Jo have been dating for over a year now. You guys were friends for years , when she was an intern you were an attending. When Alex left it hit the whole hospital hard. You and alex were best friends you, alex, and meridith were the golden trio when christina left. You and Jo became really close after that and soon enough you guys started to date. She treats your daughter like her own, you and mark had a baby a year before callie did. When mark died meredith was only 3 so she doesn't really understand where her daddy went.
* Let's get to the story before I start crying*
You had just dropped meredith at the hospital daycare.
" How's my niece" meredith asks
" She's good she didn't cry today when I dropped her off" you say eating a salad
" She's making progress" meredith says laughing
" How are you and Jo?" Meredith asks
" Go-" you are cut off by your pager
" Oh shit, I have to go my patient is coding" you tell meredith not waiting for a response and just running out of the cafeteria
" What happened" you ask one of the nurses
" She just started to have a seizure and dr. Wilson revived her" the nurse states
" Where is Dr. Wilson?" You asks looking around
"She said she was going to go check on her daughter" the other nurse says
You run down to the elevator and go to the daycare. When you walk in and see Jo playing with Meredith.
" Hey babe what are you doing?" You ask jo
" That little girl that was have a seizure reminded me of mer so I came down to see her before my surgery" jo states kissing Meredith's head
" Okay well I'm going to go" you say wanting to let mer an Jo have some time before her surgery
" I have to go anyways so I'll come with" Jo says putting mer back on the carpet
" Bye mer love you" Jo says waving bye to her
" Bye love you mom" mer says waving bye
" M-mom" Jo says surprised
" She just called me mom" Jo says looking at you
" She's beening calling you mom for almost a week now out just never noticed it until now" you say walking away patting Jo's back
" Wait Y/n wait what do you mean" Jo says trying to catch up, you just laugh.
