" Yeah, it's only 2 months plus I need to get a break from all of this" Carina says handing her chart to a nurse
" I just wanted to say that I love/loved Andrew more than anything and I know you knew him for his whole life but I wanted to know him for the rest of mine and I know how it feels so if you need anything don't hesitate to ask me okay?" I ask/say to Carina as we reach the elevator
"he talked about you a lot and wouldn't shut up about how much he 'loves you and wanted to marry', and I will if I need anything" Carina says patting my shoulder walking into the elevator
I watched as the elevator closed smiling knowing that the man that I loved, wanted to grow old with me and eventually die in our matching rocking chairs on our family house porch.
