Gray's POV
Well I did enjoy my breakfast, but I kinda felt sick after that. I felt my stomach try to tear apart my insides and I also felt it come up in my mouth. I managed to swallow my pride and sickness just to make sure that no one noticed.
"Gray, Natsu, Lucy! How would you guys like to take on a job?" Erza asked.
I watched as Natsu and Lucy nodded, but then all eyes fell on me. I had to clear my throat before I replied.
"Sure. Sounds good and I'm kinda running low on money anyway" I replied.
Honestly Erza and Lucy both had no idea I lived in an apartment while Natsu knew for a long time. However I got up from the bar and my head began to spin. I quickly sat back down and held my head for a little.
"Gray maybe you should sit this job out" Natsu said as he walked over to me and sat next to me.
I began to flinch as I felt Natsu's hot fingers go through my hair. I began to calm down and think that it was all okay and my temperature was normal. Only that's not what I heard the dragon slayer say.
"You should really go home and rest before you push your limits" Natsu said as he pulled his hand away from my head.
"N-Natsu I'm fine" I replied as I slowly got up off the bar stool.
Erza and Lucy both looked at us like we where having a lovers quarrel, but the thing that hit me most was I was actually really broke on money. I needed to go on a job and fast before anything else bad happened to me or my apartment. Which is why I was risking everything to go on this job.
Natsu's POV
I could tell something was wrong with Gray from the minute he walked in the guild with Lyon. Sure it was weird to see him walk in with his old friend who accused him of murder, but I didn't know why he was with him till the invitations magically flew out of the basket and into our hands.
However when Erza asked us to go on a mission I thought for sure Gray would have turned it down. But Gray didn't and that's when Gajeel nudged me and told me to go and look after him.
When I walked over there and placed my hand on Gray's head. His head was burning and I saw that he was shaking to stand up. I noticed a strange sent on both Gray and Lyon and I knew Lyon's was joyful because of Chelia's birthday.
Gray however was so sick he couldn't even give off a sent to tell me exactly what it is he was feeling. I had to guess that it was a fever of some sort from the last time that we all went on a mission.
"Natsu I'm fine and we're going on a job" Gray said standing up from the bar stool.
"Gray you're weak and can barely stand!" I shouted which managed to cause a sense in the guild.
Everyone looked at us and waited till a brawl broke out and then we waited longer and longer before I gave in. Gray released a small cough, but not before I was able to hear it. Which made a slight smile appear on my face because I knew I was right.
I signaled to Gajeel to come outside with me so we could talk and when he noticed my signal he nodded. When I walked out I waited long and hard for Gajeel to come outside, but he was so damn late.
"What took you so long!?" I screamed.
"Sorry. Not all of us know that Gray is running a fever" Gajeel said and slumped against the tree.
"Gajeel we are both dragon slayers. We both knew that Gray was running a fever" I replied crossing my arms.
"Well!? What was his temperature?" Gajeel asked.
"107.8°" I replied and sat in the grass.
I then hugged my legs and knew that if we went on a job that his fever would get worse than before. Which I had no idea who was going to take care of him.
