Chapter twenty three: in my blood

Jade's POV:

Loud gun shots was all I could hear while I opened my eyes. I didn't even know what was happening or where I was. All I knew was that a disgusting man brought us here. I carefully crawled over to Leigh Anne, hoping I wouldn't get any kind of attention and I gently shook her shoulders. She groaned while she woke up but as soon as she saw what was happening, her eyes widened in fear.

"What is going on?", Leigh Anne asked very worried. "I don't know... Perrie's gang must've found us and now they try to bring them down.", I replied but Leigh Anne was still confused. "Who do we even want to win? Both sides seem to be bad for us.", Leigh Anne said and she was right. There was no good or bad. It was between one deadly criminal against another. Perrie was a toxic person, I could never have a good life with. No matter how hard she tried, her deadly nature would always hurt me and yet I was too scared to be on my own.

Even though I wasn't doing any criminal avtivity myself, I was still a part of this world. I always was. My mother was a giant criminal and now I'm a side chick of a gang leader, no matter if it was willingly or not. But these things made me a target to a lot of people. When Perrie was gone, I was all alone and vulnerable to every enemy and based of what I've seen, they would gladly kill me just to spite my mother or Perrie.

I was scared to be left without protection. That's why I didn't want Perrie to die, that's why I didn't try to escape again. I became a crucial part in this violent world all because Perrie kidnapped me. I wanted to escape Perrie but at the same time, I was scared to do so.

"Jade watch out!!", Perrie suddenly yelled while she was fighting one of Robert's men but before I could react, a large hand grabbed my hair and shoved me away to a small room. I cried in pain but I could only hear a female groan coming from the person, who was basically ripping my hair out.

I could hear Perrie scream my name but she was surrounded by too many people, to get to me. "Finally we're alone.", Demi rasped out and my eyes widened when I looked at her face. It was full of blood and bruises. The wicked smile she was giving me, made her look even scarier. "What do you want from me?! I have nothing to do with Perrie's crimes! Why are you even here?!", I yelled at her and she chuckled while she held me down.

"No but you are her precious side chick! It bothers me when I can't have something just because someone else claimed it and I have enough! I have enough of being under Perrie, only good enough for doing her dirty work! I want her precious girl and I'm going to take her.", she said and stroked my cheek with her gun. "She would kill you in a heartbeat.", I replied without a doubt but it only made her laugh even more. "Ohh beautiful girl, I'm dead either way. There is no way she lets me stay alive after I betrayed her. So why not do something to hurt her while also getting my way with you? I'm having revenge before she can kill me.", she said and I could tell that all of her sanity was gone now.

"No!!", I screamed and used all the strengh I had to kick her as hard as I could. She hissed in pain and I used this oppertunity to roll away from her to stand up. "You bitch!!", she cursed and fired two gunshots in the air but she didn't hit me since she was still in so much pain. I wanted to run out of the room but she grabbed my wrist before I could and threw me against the wall while holding the gun underneath my chin.

"Do you really think a little girl like you can just run away from me?", she whispered and I struggled to get out of her grip. "Let go of me you freak!! Let go!!", I screamed in pure panic but she was only laughing. I never was so scared in my entire life. Not even Harley or Perrie were as sadistic as she was. In her eyes, I could see pure rough lust. "Let's have some Thirlwall time.", she muttered out and started to attack my neck with rough kisses and I hissed in pain while I was screaming my lungs out in pure fear but then I heard a sudden gun shot, and Demi's body fell on the ground.
