"this is why i shouldn't have friends, i'm the worst. of course i would mess up..." yeonjun started talking to himself. when soobin was staring at him, yeonjun didn't know what came over him. he knew soobin was staring at him because he thought he was good looking but yeonjun just didn't want to hear it.

it might sound paranoid but it made yeonjun wonder if he was only good for his looks. would soobin stare at him like that if he was ugly? would soobin even bother talking to him in the first place.

thoughts like these threw yeonjun into hysterics and sometime he himself didn't know what comes over him. it's just that yeonjun has so many insecurities and people only compliment him for his looks. yeonjun wished complimented him for something else. he wished people saw him more than just a pretty face.

"i'm sorry." said soobin.

yeonjun looked at him, confused. why was he apologizing?

"i know that my staring you uncomfortable. it's just that you were really pretty so i guess i was shocked. oh but what i am saying? you're probably used to a lot of people telling you that right?"

that was the problem, thought yeonjun.

"haha, it's fine. let's just start the project."

yeonjun hoped soobin got the hint that he didn't want to talk any further about it. luckily, soobin did.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

"so these three ideas are the final right?" asked yeonjun, looking at soobin for confirmation. soobin nodded in return.

"but i don't think my idea is that great..." drawled soobin. soobin thought his idea was very basic and was sort of embarrassed to share it but after lots of persuasion from yeonjun he finally told him.

"hmm, true. it's simple." said yeonjun. soobin scowled and looked away. soobin knew that but couldn't he be nicer with his words?

"...but" continued yeonjun "if we mix these two ideas, i think it will be a pretty good story."

soobin eyes brightened and he nodded in reply.

"YEONJUN!" they both heard yeonjun's butler say. "YOUR PARENTS ARE HERE."

soobin ears peeked in interest. he would like to meet yeonjun's parents but then he saw yeonjun.

there it was again. a fearful face.

"yeonjun?" asked soobin "are you fine?"

----------------------------------------------------------------

yeonjun looked at soobin. he wanted to say no. no, he wasn't fine. he didn't want to see those people. he didn't want soobin to meet those people. what if he broke down in front of soobin? he had so carefully built these walls around him and what if they broke down in front of someone close to a stranger?

"i'm fine" lied yeonjun. "also, don't you think it's getting late?"

"hmm, yeah. i think i'll leave."

"sure. umm, i'll help you."

yeonjun helped soobin pack his things even though his mind was only on his parents.

they both walked downstairs and yeonjun's parents were already sitting on the dining table.

"oh? yeonjun brought someone over?" said his mother in disgustingly sweet voice.

soobin gave them a smile and bowed down low. "thank you for letting me come over."

"oh you're leaving? stay for dinner."
