Hermione and Draco peaked through the books and the talking had finished, and the group of Death Eaters left and closed the door behind them. She went around the shelf and the library was trashed. Books were everywhere, ripped papers and shelves fallen over. Hermione started for the restricted section with Draco behind her and the gate was already pried open, and nearly all the books were gone or destroyed. She shook her head and put her hand through her hair trying to think of what to do.
She suddenly turned to the window that was already broken into pieces. She ran to it and looked down.
It was a long way down, nothing could break her fall. She'd die from the fall.
She started pacing and pacing around trying to think of how to get out.
Draco went next to her by the window and looked down. He could jump? But the glass was in his way. He tried opening the window but it was sealed shut, so he went to the other windows and they were all magically sealed shut.
Curse McGonagall, curse that Potions teacher! If they hadn't of sent them out or left them alone without a teacher or other students they wouldn't be in this mess.
The two were silent, and all of a sudden, the alarms started blaring again, but louder, and the library doors burst open, revealing two Death Eaters. Draco and Hermione turned and took out their wands quickly, without a second thought and started attacking them.
"Stupefy!"
"Crucio!"
Hermione gasped. "Malfoy you can't use unforgivable curses!" She threw another spell and dodged another.
"I don't care, now is not the time!" He yelled as he finished the last of the Death Eaters. The two lay still on the floor and the two teenagers walked to them. Draco kicked them to see if they were awake but they were definitely knocked out.
"Come on, we have to go to the doors again and try other spells, we can't stay here." He said stepping over them and going but he realised Hermione wasn't following him and he turned. "Come on now!" He demanded but she crossed her arms.
"You used an unforgivable! What happens when the teachers find out?" She demanded and he rolled his eyes and cast a simple enlarging spell on an open book on the floor. "See? Problem solved, the last spell I used was an enlargement one." He huffed.
She decided to forget it and leave, they were in a dangerous situation and had to get out of here fast. They quickly ran down the stairs and didn't see any Death Eaters as they reached the door. They stood about 10 metres away.
"Okay, we'll cast spells together, but we have to do it quickly because once they hear the loud noises-"
"-Relax Granger, it will be down in no time." He sighed tiredly waving her off and pointed his wand to the door.
"Bombarda Maxima!" They yelled in unison and as soon as their spell made contact with the door, the two bounced back and landed hard on the floor. It didn't create a dent or a scratch in the door and Hermione blew the hair out of her face.
"It didn't work." Hermione said getting up and rubbing her arm.
"I found some!" A Death Eater yelled and Hermione had quickly cast a silencing charm on him, prohibiting him from talking or yelling any further. Draco quickly got up.
"Levicorpus!" He said in a low voice trying not to cause the others to find him. The Death Eater dangled in the air and Draco dropped him from a great height, and the Death Eater lay still on the floor.
"We can't stay here, follow me." Hermione whispered and ran towards the kitchens. She opened the door with a simple spell and Draco closed the door behind them. They descended the stairs and arrived at the fruit bowl painting. Draco tickled the pear and it opened. They both went in and closed the portrait, Hermione sat on the big kitchen island while Draco leaned on the portrait.
"And what if the Death Eaters are former Hogwarts students?" Draco asked wiping the sweat from his forehead.
"Doubt they'll know how to get down here, people have only found out recently." Draco nodded not wanting to speak and looked around for food.
Hermione swung her legs and looked around, humming softly, until the sight of blood caught her eyes on the floor, and it trailed slowly to Draco, who was looking in the cabinets. She gasped and she walked behind him.
"Malfoy? You're bleeding.. I think? Let me have a look." She grabbed his arm, turning him around, and pulled his sleeve up, catching him by surprise and her eyes widened at the horror she was met with.
He quickly pushed her away, some blood splattered on her clothes and she stood in place still processing what she saw.
Draco muttered curses under his breath. He had worked his arm too hard and it started bleeding. He became angry at her. "Don't touch me!" He yelled as he grabbed a plate from the cabinet above and threw it at her. She missed it and it slammed right beside her on the wall.
Her eyes widened and her hands started to shake. "You're crazy!" She yelled as she grabbed a glass cup from beside her and threw it right at him, and it hit him on the shoulder. He winced and Hermione was almost going to go and apologise when he grabbed another plate and threw it at her. It smashed at her feet.
"At least I'm something! Unlike you!" He yelled back grabbing another plate and throwing it at her. It had hit her arm and she rubbed at the pain. She picked up the plate as it didn't smash and she threw it back at him as he started to avoid her.
"I'm more than you'll ever be!" She growled through her clenched teeth and the plate smashed on the cabinet beside his head.
He grabbed two plates, and dropped the one in his left hand as it started to throb in pain. "You'll always be worthless." His face scrunched up at the pain but nonetheless he threw the plate in his right hand right at her, and she put her hand in front of her face to block it, and it fell to the ground shattering. Her right hand throbbed in pain.
She grabbed a plate from behind her. "You'll always be a Death Eater, and you have to mark to prove it." She yelled throwing it at him.
He put his hand in front of him to block and his arm throbbed at the pain.
Draco scoffed while picking up a plate quickly. "And you'll always be a Mud blood, it's on your left arm to prove it." He threw it right at her and she caught it, glaring at him. He picked another plate and Hermione put the plate in her hands in front of her face. "I was there after all, to see you so pathetic." He threw it right on the plate she was holding and the plates both shattered at her feet.
"Me? Pathetic? Didn't you want to jump of the Astronomy Tower last year? Coward." She threw the plate and he caught it, his hand tightened around it, his fingers becoming white.
He didn't say anything and threw it right back at her with force, and it hit her on the side of her face as she was dodging it. Her cheek bone throbbed and she couldn't find anything else to throw that was close to her, so she picked up the pieces of the broken plates and cups and she chucked them right at him.
He copied her, grabbing as many pieces as he could, and he didn't care if it made his hands bleed, at least he could see her injured and bleeding. He threw them all at her. They threw things back and forth in silence, grunts from each other but that was all, and just the shattering of plates
