Vorfreude, what is it? I surely didn't knew what it meant until someone I knew posted about it. This word holds the strongest power and the highest place in the whole vocabulary. Vorfreude is a German word and it means Before Joy. 𝐕𝐨𝐫𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐲 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮'𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠
As soon as I heard this, I froze. I don't know what happened but I just kept thinking how in everyday of our lives, we are waiting for Vorfreude and somehow it finds us. There are so many things in this world we don't know how and why they happen but their mere presence is a bliss for the humankind.
This word just describes you somehow. It regains your faith in love, emotions, and that ooze; which everyone has but no one talks about. It comprises of everything. 𝐕𝐨𝐫𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐮𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝟗 𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐨 𝐢𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐬𝐦
You're sitting in your room sipping tea and suddenly whole sky is covered by clouds. How do you feel? You hear that thundering and you just go out and feel that cool air against your face, you feel it on your skin, the wind whooshing through your hair. You know it's about to rain and you can't keep calm. Your heart is thumping. You are feeling different than usual. That's Vorfreude.
Just close your eyes for 1 minute. Imagine, you're about to reach to your favourite destination spot. You're about to be served your favourite meal. You're 35,000 feet above the ground, you can see your favourite destination and it looks exactly the same as you pictured it and dreamt of it. The plane is about to land and you just can't wait. All your life you've been seeing it on TV and now for the first time you're about to visit the place that has always been the cathedral of dreams. Felt something? That's Vorfreude
