LONDON, IN THE middle of the blitz, the perfect time and place to perform a scam. The Harkness siblings already had a victim blindlessly following their empty capsule through the time vortex. They'd sent out a mauve signal and it wasn't long until a ship disguised as a 1950s police box was tailing it.

The tricky thing about time travel though, there's a bit of a delay. By the time the police box landed in London, the capsule had already landed a few weeks before, leaving the Harkness siblings to play the waiting game. Jack stayed up in the ship, scanning from above for their suspected prey, while Jessica took to the streets. She blended in seamlessly, making friends in bars and having a few drinks when the bomb alarms weren't going off. Being in the crowds was the best way to find someone who was out of place - out of time, I should say.

The singer walked off the stage and a man, so clearly out of place with his leather jacket, replaced her. Jessica knew instantly this man was the one she and her brother were hoping to con.

"Excuse me! Excuse me, could I have everybody's attention? Just for a mo, I'll be very quick. Hello! Em, might seem like a stupid question, but has anything fallen from the sky recently?" He asked and Jessica raised a brow while the crowd laughed at him. Did he even know where he was? "Sorry, have I said something funny? It's just there's this thing I need to find. Would've fallen from the sky a couple days ago. Would've landed near here...with a very loud...bang."

The sirens blared from outside and everyone in the bar began to evacuate while the man tried to talk over it.

Jessica stayed seated, running her finger along the rim of her wine glass, "You're very out of place, handsome."

His head shot over to where she was sitting, looking her over in one glance, "I could say the same to you. Who are you?"

"Jessica Harkness, pleasure to meet me, I'm sure." She grinned, brushing off her skirt as she stood up.

"The Doctor." He introduced quickly, "I'd love to stay and chat, but apparently we're in the middle of the blitz and I've got a blonde companion to find before she gets blown up."

"I can help you." She offered.

"I highly doubt it." The Doctor denied.

"I know what and where the object is that you were asking about." The raven haired woman smirked, sauntering over to him. He knew she was telling the truth.

"You, come with me, right now." He left no time to argue, grabbing her hand and pulling her with him out of the bar.

"Well, that was a bit forward. Shouldn't we find your companion before we conduct business?" Jessica chuckled as she ran with him through an alleyway where his spaceship was parked.
