"ROSE? DOCTOR? CAN you hear us?" Jessica spoke into the microphone on their ship, a few minutes after teleporting from the hospital. "We're back on our ship, used the emergency teleport."
"Sorry we couldn't take you, it's security-keyed to our molecular structures. I'm working on it, hang in there." Jack added, flipping a few switches.
"How are you speaking to us?" The Doctor asked.
"Om-Com. We can call anything with a speaker grill." Jess replied.
"Now there's a coincidence!"
"What is?" Jack questioned with interest.
"The child can Om-Com too." The Doctor revealed.
"It can?" Rose quizzed in shock.
"Anything with a speaker grill. Even the Tardis phone." He replied.
"What, you mean the child can phone us?" Rose said, looking to the Doctor with panic in her eyes.
"And I can hear you. Coming to find you. Coming to find you!"
Jess jumped back in her seat when the Child's haunting voice echoed through the speakers on their ship. She leaned towards the microphone and addressed the alien in the hospital, "Doctor, can you hear that?"
"Loud and clear." He replied.
"I'll try to block out the signal. It's the least I can do." Jack announced, reaching towards a switch above their heads, "Remember this one, Rose?" He asked before flicking it, the song 'Moonlight Serenade' replaced the Child's voice, effectively blocking it's signal.
Jess sent him a smirk while he grinned at her and then she got back to work. Several minutes later, they managed to beam their new friends onboard, but they hadn't noticed yet, too busy dancing and gossiping.
"If ever he was a captain he's been defrocked." The Doctor said to Rose as they swayed side to side.
"Yeah? Shame I missed that." Rose grinned, the Jess it looked very intimate.
Jack decided he wanted to break up their moment with a bit of teasing. "Actually, I quit. Nobody takes my frock."
Jess stood up from her chair and walked over to them with coy smile, "Most people notice when they've been teleported. You guys are so adorable."
"Sorry about the delay. Had to take the nav-com offline to override the teleport security." Jack explained.
"You can spend ten minutes overriding your own protocols? Maybe you should remember whose ship it is." The Doctor quipped back.
