Chapter 40: Leaving

Okay here's some clarification;

Chris was gone out of Cameron's life for half a year. Ray wasn't being a father to Cameron for over three years. Technically Ray was missing longer than chris was.

" Baby who were you on the phone with? " You asked coming into the room.

" Your baby daddy. " Chris said leaning back on the bed.

You made a face. " you mean Ray ? "

" Yeah I mean Ray. "

" Well what did he want? "

" To talk to you and Cameron. "

" Anddd? " You questioned

" I told him don't worry about you or Cameron. "

" You told him not to worry about Cameron ? " You asked in shock.

" Sure did. " chris replied.

" Why would you do that!? You should've told me and I would've handled it! "

" What's so wrong about what I did ? " chris asked cleary confused.

" You told Cameron's father not to worry about him! You took something into your own hands that doesn't concern you at all. " you yelled.

Chris stood up off the bed and walked to you.

" So now I shouldn't be concerned about Cameron? " He asked looking down on you.

" No, he isn't your son. "

He stepped back a little bit and balled his fists.

" Yanno this is the second time I've heard that today. " he said closing his eyes and chuckling.

" Well it's the truth. " you said crossing your arms over your stomach.

" Okay Yn. I get it, he isn't my son, but I don't treat him like he's any less than my son. Do I have to do that? No! I do it because I love Cameron as my own! I do that because I love his mother! " He yelled looking at you.

He chuckled. " but now I'm wondering why I ever did. "

" What do you mean by that? " You asked un crossing your arms.

" I don't know. It doesn't concern me. " he said mockingly.

You scoffed.

" That doesn't even make sense. "

" Yeah and you know what else doesn't make sense? "

You rolled your eyes.

" What? "

" It doesn't make sense why I'm still trying with you. "

" What do you mean by that? "

" Me and Cj are leaving. "

" What? Chris no you can't take Cj away from me! "

" Why can't i ? "

" Because he's my son! I have custody over him! " you smirked.

He returned your smirk.

" See that's where your wrong. A month after I came back I went up to the court house and applied for full custody of Cameron, and since you aren't his biological mother and his real mother is no where to be found there was no wait. "

Your smirk dropped.

" Chris please don't do this. I love you both so much. " you begged.

He sighed.

" Okay look. I won't leave. But only because you're pregnant with my baby girl. but I'm not sleeping in here for a couple of days.. "

" I think we need a break. " you said.

He looked at you with glistening eyes.
" If that's what you want then. fine. " he said before walking out.

🎆LATER THAT NIGHT🎆

" Mommy is dinner almost done ? " Cameron asked pulling at your sweatpants.

" Almost baby boy almost. Go tell Cj and Chris to come downstairs and the eat. " You said stirring the pasta in the pot.

" okay mommy. " he said before running upstairs.

Soon Cameron and Cj came down the steps followed by a fully dressed Chris.

" Chris where are you going ? " you asked looking at him from head to toe.

" Out for a little while." he said adjusting his watch.

" And where exactly is out ? " You questioned.

" Just to get a couple drinks with the guys. "

" Did you even think about telling me this? "

He shrugged.

" We're on a break remember. "

" Ugh really chris you're being so unreasonable. "

" No ! What's unreasonable is you saying Cameron isn't my concern! That's what's f.cking unreasonable! "

" Don't you cuss at me in front of my kids! "

" you mean kid! If Cameron isn't my concern then Cj isn't yours! "

You rolled your eyes.

" Whatever just leave. "

" Fine I will. " he said before storming out of the house.

You looked over at Cameron and Cj and saw the solemn looks on their faces.

" I'm sorry you had to see that boys. Mommy and daddy are just having son issues right now. "

" I'm not hungry anymore. " Cj said before running upstairs.

" Yeah. me either. " Cameron said before following.

You sighed

" I really know how to f.ck sh.t up. "
