CHAPTER) 13

Win entered Astrovelence with a sigh. He was only able to get his body to calm down after a few reps in the gym. He wasn't entirely sure  if he was prepared mentally to see Bright in person but it wasn't like he had much of a choice.

"Win!" Cara rushed down the hall in her red silhouettes.

"Are you feeling better?" She asked, casting him a look of concern.

Win shrugged, not really in the mood to voice his thoughts. He just saw his soulmate kiss some chick, of course he wasn't over the moon.

"Is- is he here yet?"

"No...not yet." She shook her head, tone quite solemn. Win felt a sense of relief at that, adleast he had some time for himself to prepare, before being faced with the inevitable.
Win nodded as a response before making his way to the room. Usually their shoots were stationed at a different location but for reasons unknown their photographer wanted the shoot to be in their own company.
Win opened the door before entering the room.
"Win, you're finally here!" The boy's eyes widened in surprise.
"Elijah! What are you doing here?" Elijah smiled his charming smile before grabbing both of Win's arms.
Win didn't think too much of it, it was blatantly obvious Elijah was a man of proximity.

"My new manager was giving me a tour of the place and told me you were having a shoot here. I know we just met a couple of hours ago but..." He stared at Win's adorably lost expression and grinned. "I wanted to see you!" Win smiled, patting the boy's shoulder in reassurance.
"It's fine then. You can stay as long as you don't get bored!"
Win was elated that his new friend wanted to spend time with him. Although he worried he would be too occupied with the shoot to spare him much attention.

"Oh don't worry I won't."

Win jolted as Reece barged into the room, carrying a displeased expression.
Win tilted his head. He wasn't sure why Reece was here. Albeit there was a high chance that Bright had invited him over to the shoot to keep him company.

He probably wasn't the only one Bright invited either.
Win sighed underneath his breath, uncertain if he was mentally prepared to see her either.
Not to mention the likelihood of PDA.
Win's mark burnt uncomfortably under his skin, the image in his mind rather disconcerting.

"Reece you're back!" Elijah said, feinting jubilation.
Reece ignored him, meeting Win's eyes as his face softened.
"Win." He immediately pulled Win into his arms before releasing a sigh of relief.
"Reece? What's wrong, are okay?" Reece released Win before nodding.

"Yeah I'm fine."

Win didn't know what to think. He didn't expect to be meeting his best friend nor the guy that had only entered his life a few hours before.
He turned his head to Cara, bemused as the girl watched the whole scene play out with a smirk, clearly entertained.
Win threw her a questioning look to which she shrugged in response.

"Reece, why are you here?" She said, asking the question for him.

Reece, who was currently busy glaring at the tall male in the room jolted at the sound of his name.
"What?" Completely caught off guard.

"I said, why is your ass here?" The boy's mouth fell, trying his best to think of an answer.

Seeing the subject of his hatred smirking at him smugly , Reece clenched his fist.
"I heard Elijah would be in the company so I thought I'd pay him a visit."

"Oh, you two are close?" Cara asked, intrigued.

Without trailing his eyes off of the boy whose countenance hard darkened tremendously, Elijah formed a semblance of a grin.
"The closest."
Reece released a "dickhead" underneath his breath before facing the blonde.
"I would love to have a nice chat with my "closest" mate. Elijah, would you mind?" His head snapped to the taller male, his arrogant smile was enough to make him grit his teeth.
