Heyy everyone, I hope you're all doing good and being safe. Obviously this isn't an update! But there's just some things I need to clarify to ensure we're all on the same page regarding the story.
1) Why has the influence of the soul mark changed over time?
Honestly the power of the mark varies according to the situation. If you think back to the beginning of the book when they had first met eachother and Bright jumped Win in his room it was due to finally being in contact with his soulmate. He needed immediate intimacy to provide him both mental and physical relief. Since Bright and Win had been constantly around one another after finding out they were soulmates their souls were able to relax due to their proximity.
2) Why is Bright soo jealous all the damn time?
His character is naturally possessive. However, because Win is his soulmate everything he feels is more profound.
3) What are those voices calling out to them?
Those "voices" have only appeared in the story 3 times so far. The first time was in Win's bedroom, the second time was in Bright's bedroom and the third time was when Win saw the photos of Bright kissing Devine. The voices are basically the part of their souls that are bound to eachother. (Fuck did that make any sense? Uh...) In my story the soul( of soulmates) are split into two seperate entities. One half of a soul is existing to dominate and protect whereas the other half exists to both support the coexisting half of the soul both mentally and physically as well as rely on them. ( Imagine it as two sides of a coin.) When the halves fail to do their part due to outside factors they basically go on alert mode(trip out.)It's similar to the body's fight and freeze response which is stimulated when the body is threatened. (Omg this paragraph fucked my brain, send help.)
4)What's the deal with Bright's red eyes?
Unfortunately, I can't answer this as of yet. Though I can say that it has something to do with what I explained above: his 'half' not being able to fulfil it's role.
5)Why is the soul mark hurting Win?
It's kind of obvious depending on the situation. Win's mark inflicts pain when his soul is uncomfortable. His half of the soul was created to support and rely on Bright both physically and mentally so when his half 'detects' that he isn't doing that to the right person it immediately activates 'altert mode.' In more simpler terms it's reminding him "bitch wtf are you doing that isn't your soulmate." Or "bitch wtf is going on, whose that hoe next to your soulmate, I know for a fact that ain't you."
Yeah so that's all for now, if you didn't understand one bit of that frankly I don't blame you. However if any of you have any further questions be sure to let me know and I'll answer them. Btw, I know my updates can be inconsistent as fuck but I can't stress how important it is for me to be mentally stable enough to write a chapter or else it'll just be shit af. Like my writing is already basic as it is, it'll just be horrendous if it gets any worse.
Senior year is starting in 2 weeks, which means I'll have way less time to write, that's why I'm trying to bombard y'all with as many chapters as I can. :(
Anyways to all of you that have come this far and have somehow enjoyed this story, I want to thank you all so much. I mainly started this story more as a way to practice my writing cause we all know it needs a lot of work lmao.
I also just want to say a huge thanks to the people that vote and comment. It's a huge motivator! Just a simple "haha" can get me motivated cause I'm built different.
I also apologise for my unedited chapters because I know how irritating it can be as a reader. But like I said I write when I can afford the time to, and edit when I can.
Final thing, I just wanted to put an emphasis on how this is fiction. These characters are not based off of the personalities of the literal Bright and Win. Just picture it as me "borrowing" their name and appearance for my story :).
Just another warning, Bright might get a little too much as the story progresses but that's just how his character is, and plus it's fun that way.
