"Would you go out with me?"
Bright stilled. He wondered if he had imagined the words that had left Win's mouth.
"W-what?"He cursed the stutter that seemed to clasp onto his question. He hated how nervous he sounded, wondered if Win was judging him or discreetly mocking him for his unprecedented nerves.
Bright recoiled as Win suddenly broke into a fit of laughter."I-I didn't mean like that-you idiot!" Bright couldn't help the slight twitch in his eye as Win continued to laugh before clutching onto his stomach in an attempt to calm himself.
Suddenly he turned serious, coughing slightly before straightening himself.
"I just thought, you know. That we could hang out, get to know each other better. It's just that, we've been misunderstanding one another quite a bit lately and I just think maybe this could be good for us."
Win scratched his neck lightly and Bright didn't miss the way his heart began beating faster at the sight of the redness that appeared on the boy's cheeks.
Win wants to..hang out-with me?
"Um..," Bright couldn't help but repeat Win's gesture, absentmindedly scratching his neck with his index finger. "Sure-"
"What?Really!"Bright pursed his lips slightly before nodding. He couldn't quite understand why Win sounded soo delighted. As far as he was concerned, he had acted like nothing but a dickhead to the boy.
Must be the bond."Hmm, where should we go." Win asked more to himself, rubbing his index finger against his chin in thought.
Bright couldn't help but assert his input."I dunno, maybe we can go shopping or some shit and then eat. I would've said the arcade but, it gets quite busy there. It wouldn't exactly be the best place for us to go." Bright shrugged, fiddling with the sleeve of his coat.
"That's fine, maybe we can go another time. When it's dark and there's no'one around-" Win flushed before biting his lip.
"I mean-""Yeah Win, I'd like that." Bright cut him off before smiling.
"Win! Win where the fuck are-"
The door to the exit opened revealing a pretty girl with long blonde hair and emerald eyes. Bright recognised her as Win's manager.
"Oh, I thought you'd be here." She turned to Bright before smiling warmly.
"It's nice to meet you Mr Vachirawit-" She held out her hand to which Bright shook, returning the gesture.
"Please, just call me Bright." Bright didn't know why he wanted her to address him so informally. Perhaps he realised she was a close figure in Win's life and felt an immediate sense of trust towards her."Oooh dropping the formalities are we,"She giggled
"Then just call me Cara."
"Wow, okay Cara," Win spat "I'm right here!Give me some attention too." Win scoffed, though his eyes were gleaming with something Bright couldn't quite decipher. Fondness?
"Win you idiot!" Cara scolded before playfully punching him on the shoulder.
"I almost got jumped back there," She turned to Bright once more, though looking rather peeved "and no offence Bright, but your manager was of no help." She shook her head as if trying to forget the memory."Cara!-"
"No, it's fine. Dean is rather...expressive when it comes to his emotions. Fear tends to be a common trait." Bright nodded to himself as if coming to terms with he fact."Yes, I can see that." Bright tried to suppress a chuckle at the way Cara's face had formed a scowl at the thought of his manager.
Win was quick to retrieve his attention, Bright feared the sudden look of determination that kissed the boy's face as he looked at Cara.
