Another recipe from my time exploring old recipe boxes with my Grandma is this delicious Orange Kiss-Me Cake. I've made this before with other recipes, but this one takes the cake. Pun definitely intended. You will need a food processor for this recipe, so be prepared for that.
Below is the recipe for my Grandma's Orange Kiss-Me Cake.
The ingredients and instructions were written together, so I will write it here as transcribed.
Grind together: 1 Large Orange, Pulp, Rind, 1 C Raisins, 1/3 C Walnuts
((Sift Together: 2 C Flour, 1 TSP Baking Soda, 1 TSP Salt, 1 C Sugar
Add: 2 Eggs, 1/4 C Milk)) ---->Beat together for 2 minutes on medium speed. Then, add: 2 Eggs, 1/4 C Milk ---> Beat together for 2 minutes.
Fold orange mix into batter.
Pour into greased, floured 12 x 8 x 2/ 13 x 9 x 2 baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 to 50 minutes.
Enjoy.
Let me know how this recipe turned out for you!
