She woke up feeling rather disoriented... yet surprisingly at peace...

The best sleep she had ever had in a long time...

The morning sun's rays spread through her bedroom window making her squint at the brightness.

She got up and the first thing she noticed was the empty bed next to her. She had woken up in the middle of the night to find herself securely bundled in his arms, held tightly against his chest... his chest rising with each breath as he remained in a deep sleep.

His eyes closed... his hair disheveled... a satisfied smile gracing his soft lips...

He was a beautiful sight when he was asleep... almost like a little child...

But he wasn't here now...

She pushed back the surge of panic that arose.

He wouldn't leave...

She pushed back the covers, and gingerly got up. Though still a little weak, she felt much better now. She gingerly made her way to the entrance of her bedroom door and peaked out.

There he was... sitting at the dinner table. A mug of steaming coffee in front of him... his eyes looking outside the window as he spoke to someone on the phone. It looked like he had already showered and changed into a pair of tracks and a full sleeve black t-shirt. She noticed a small duffle bag next to his chair... probably containing the clothes he had brought with him...

As if sensing her presence, he immediately shifted his gaze to meet hers... a warm smile greeting her. He ended the call to whoever it was on the other end before gesturing her to come closer.

She hesitated... slightly nervous of what was to come. They needed to talk... there were so many things he had to know... but she was scared.

Walking slowly towards the table, she avoided his gaze. Once settled into the chair across from him, she finally gathered the courage to meet his eyes again. She could smell the misty fragrance of his favorite cologne... his hair needed a good trim... and his stubble was ill-maintained...

But still... he made her heart race... made goosebumps riddle her skin... made her want to kiss every little inch of that adorably handsome face...

She saw the glint shine in his eyes as he noticed her obvious attraction and immediately blushed. She hadn't meant to unabashedly gawk at him like a horny teenager... but it had been so long since she's had the opportunity to appreciate his beauty...

"Gunaydin..." he greeted softly. She gave a brief smile before responding.

"Gunaydin..."

"How are you feeling?" he asked, searching her face.

"Much better..." he responded shyly, tucking back a stray strand of hair. His eyes followed the action before they still on her hand. He gazed at it avidly, as if trying to figure something out. She followed his line of vision and saw what had captured his attention.

Her wedding ring...

The one she had put on before-

She looked back up at him, slightly panicked... because she didn't know how to explain it.
