We pull into our driveway and as soon as Zach puts the car in park I run into the house. I just need one hit. Little did Zach know I found some of my stash that he hid from me. But obviously, he doesn't have the best hiding spots. I take the steps two at a time and speed off into my room. I lock my door head into the bathroom and lock my bathroom door too. I grab a rubber band, syringe, and needle from my drawer. I shoot up twice in my arm then sink to the floor and relax against the bathroom counter.
Zach's POV
"Where is she off to in such a hurry?" I just shrug my shoulders and head inside. Monty and I go into the living room to game and Justin went to raid the kitchen. Monty and I start playing COD because it's the only game we could agree on.
"Guys where's Liv? Guys? GUYS?!" A pillow flies out of nowhere and hits me in the head. I pause the game and look behind me. Justin is standing there looking at me with one of his "I'm irritated at you" looks.
"Can I help you?"
"Yeah, where is Olivia?"
"She went up to her room." I turn back around and immediately get another pillow thrown at me.
"Seriously what the hell Justin?"
"Zach that was a half-hour ago! Are we seriously leaving her alone now?" I stare at Justin for a second then immediately stand up and rush to the stairs. I go to Olivia's door and try to open it but it's locked.
"Liv you ok?" She didn't answer. I grab a toothpick out of my pocket and use it to unlock the door. She isn't in her room so I walk over to the bathroom and knock on the door.
"Liv are you in there?" Again no answer. I try to open the door but it's also locked. I use the toothpick again and open the door.
"Olivia?! Olivia can you hear me." She was lying on the floor motionless and wasn't responding to anything.
"JUSTIN CALL AN AMBULANCE NOW."
"I'm right here you don't have to yell." I try everything to wake her up even though I know it's not going to work. The only thing that will wake her up is Narcan, but we didn't have any in the house.
"SHE ISN'T BREATHING!"
"Is your mom here?"
"No she is working late, and Grace is at her friend's house." I look at Monty who hasn't said a word. He is pacing back and forth like last time.
"The ambulance is about 5 minutes away." Everything after that is fuzzy. I remember the paramedics and police officers getting there. Then I remember them loading Olivia into the back of the ambulance. Justin and Monty took my car to the hospital while I rode with Olivia. She woke up in the ambulance after 2 doses of Narcan. We get to the hospital and I follow them to a room with her on the stretcher. They move her over to the hospital bed and I sit down in the chair beside the bed while the paramedic talks to the nurse.
"How are you doing Liv?" She just nods and gives me a slight smile. I hear a commotion outside our room, some people yelling at a nurse. Suddenly the door bursts open only to reveal Justin and Monty who rush into the room.
"How is she? Is she doing ok? Has she woken up?"
"Monty relax she woke up in the ambulance, she's sleeping right now. Her vitals were all pretty stable in the ambulance." He just nods and sits down in the chair next to me. Justin doesn't say a word instead he just takes a seat and stares at the wall.
"I'm going to go call my mom and tell her everything that's going on I will be right back." Well, this might be the last phone call I ever make.
