Journal: Finally home, it feels weird almost. I know things will probably never be the same but I'm ok with that. The hospital helped get me involved with a rehab program that is supposed to one of the best in the state. Mom has been babying me ever since she got to the hospital that day. I'm honestly a little nervous about all of it but I know I'm going to be ok!
"Liv dinner is ready." I make my way down the stairs and to the kitchen all while smelling my mother's amazing cooking. She made my favorite, lasagna with garlic bread and a salad with her famous homemade dressing. Just as I'm about to grab a plate the chime of the doorbell echo through the house. I volunteer myself because it will probably be in regards to me anyway. "MONTY!" Luckily he is strong because I basically tackled him. My arms around his neck and my legs wrapped tightly around his waist. "Hi baby, I missed you." "I missed you too!" "Gross get a room! You just saw each other at the hospital a few hours ago." I look at Zach and give him a serious death glare. He rolls his eyes and goes back inside to get food no doubt. "How are you doing?" "A real glitter rainbow." It was laced with much more sarcasm than I had intended but it was too late to take it back. His face fell slightly which broke my heart. I hated it when I hurt him. He is more fragile than people know. I lean in and kiss him. I can tell he was taken by surprise but it didn't last long because he did not hesitate to deepen the kiss. Every time I kiss him it feels like I'm safe, it feels like home.
