I walk back inside with Monty right behind me. "Hey, Mrs. Dempsey." "Please you have known me long enough to skip the formalities. Anyway, pick a chair dinners ready." "Oh no that's ok I don't want to intrude." "Nonsense you never intrude dear." I pull him along to the table and make him sit next to me.
I wake up to my 5:30 am alarm. I'm dreading school, I'm gonna be the drug kid who almost died. I get up and head to the bathroom to get ready. I walk into the bathroom and find my needle and rubber band still on the floor. I pick it up and throw it away wanting to forget about all of it. I grab my razor blade and make 2 cuts on my arm and let it bleed over the sink. I put some gauze over it and wrap it with some cling wrap so it's covered. I go to my desk and open up my laptop and pull up the letters.
Dad I know you will never get to read but I just needed to write out my feelings. Please watch over Hannah for me. Growing up without a dad has been tough. Mom is doing her best but I know it's hard on her. Zach tries to father all of us, sometimes too much. I love you, dad.
