Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if I wasn't a Dempsey. Would I still be at liberty? Would I still have the same friends? Does it matter what family you come from? I can answer the 3rd question right now. The answer is yes, it does matter what family you come from. The richer your family the more popular you are. Another reason why I don't want to live anymore. I'm tired of being looked at as perfect just because my family has money. I'm not anywhere close to perfect, there is absolutely nothing perfect about my life. I just want to be somewhere peaceful and happy. I want to be happy. I don't want to rely on drugs to get me through the day. I don't want to turn to cutting to distract myself from the real pain. But I don't think any of that can happen while I'm here. I get out of bed and make sure my letter is hidden. I sift through my clothes until I find an outfit I'm satisfied with. I decide to throw on some makeup so I don't look like a zombie for school. "Liv come on." "Coming." I grab my bag and make my way down the stairs and out the door. "Are you ok?" "Yeah, I'm fine." I stop by my locker and get what I need while I wait for Jess to come find me. "I need to talk to you!" "Ok so talk." "What the hell were you thinking?" "I'm sorry your gonna have to be a little more specific..." "Drugs seriously? Why Olivia?" "I don't know ok...I didn't know what else to do. I just wanted to stop feeling the pain all the time. I just wanted to feel numb to it all." "Well heroin and pills aren't going to solve shit, they just make everything worse!" We each go our separate ways and head to our classes. This is going to be one hell of a day. As soon as the last bell rings I get out of there as fast as I can. I make my way to the field to watch the guys practice. I make my way over to Zach's backpack on the bleachers and pull out his hoodie. I put it on and lay down on the bleachers. "Hey, sexy." "Hey, Justin." "Why are you wearing Zach's hoodie?" "Cause I'm cold and I was too lazy to go get mine out of the car." He laughs and makes his way to the field. "Hey, Liv." "Hey Monty!" He comes over and sits down next to my head. I slide closer and put my head in his lap. "Monty?" "Yeah, beautiful?" "What...what are we?" "What do you want to be?" "I want to be yours." "Good because you already belong to me." I sit up smiling like a crazy person as I stare into his gorgeous eyes. He leans in closer to me, just as our lips are about to touch the whistle blows. Monty runs out to the field leaving me there alone with my thoughts once again.
