I just stood there. After all we had been through. This is what happened? I probably could have stood there for longer but Glenn's eyes met mine, his jaw dropped. Rob turned around and did the same.
Now I was mad. Tears threatened to fall down my face, Rob started to walk towards me I put my hand up to stop him, the other on my forehead. I glanced at my left hand, the one I used to stop him. My engagement ring. With tears falling down my face I quickly grabbed the ring, pulled it off, opened his hand, and placed it in. I walked back to the room and shut the door.
Seconds later Rob entered the room. "It's not what it looks like."
"Really Rob because I'm pretty sure she not a family member!" My voice began to rise. I quickly brushed off my cheeks. "I can't believe this."
"Dylan I love you." Rob stood there his head down.
"Don't even start with me Robert." And with that I grabbed a bag and started stuffing things in it.
"Where are you going?" His voice cracked. I couldn't even look at him, let alone talk to him. I grabbed the bag and headed out the door. I pushed my way to the living room which had drastically cleared out, now it was mostly family and some friends. "Dylan." He had caught up to me.
I turned around so I faced him. The tension was so thick it was like no one could breathe. "I really thought this was going to work out Rob, but really. Really. I mean that was low. I don't even want to know what you did while I was gone."
"Dylan." One of Rob's brothers cut in, I didn't even bother to look.
"I'm going to a hotel. Where I don't care. Please don't come after me." With that I walked out of the grand house and called a taxi.
