I ducked my head into the cab. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Rob turn away. He was completely devastated.
And just like that, the car door shut, and the taxi drove off.
"AHHH!" Rob screamed into the air, flipping around. "Dylan...."
I stood still on the corner. A smile spread across Rob's face. "I think we should talk about this. Before any conclusions are made."
"But you stayed, YOU stayed, that means something! Doesn't it?" Rob looked down at me.
"I think you should get to explain yourself, before I make any conclusions myself." I headed back to the house. Rob followed behind me.
When we walked through the front door, everyone's eyes were on us. We walked out to the backyard to talk, and to get away from anyone.
I let Rob go and tell me everything before I even said anything. "Dylan... I guess what I'm trying to tell you is that I really really love you. You are the one for me. Not that other girl. I just made a stupid mistake she wanted a picture, then we took it to far, and it hurt you. I'm so sorry."
"Rob I would have been fine if it was just a picture. But when it becomes more, it worries me. Rob you could have any girl you wanted.. What if another girl comes around? And she's better than I am? What's going to happen then?"
"It won't."
"Rob that's a big statement. You can't tell me it won't ever happen again..."
"No. I can. Because I am right now. Dylan..." Rob dug into his pocket. He pulled out the ring and grabbed my hand sliding the ring in place on my finger. "I love you. This ring is only for you. No one else."
My eyes watered, Rob pulled me into him. "I'm never letting you go, Dylan."
I pushed him back, in a playful manor, "Hey! I'm still mad. Especially since you threw a party with out me!"
Rob chuckled and lead me back into the grand house.
