Could this be real?

Coach Preston

I couldn't believe it Coach Preston was standing in front of me. I had met him only twice before, once at a UofA basketball game and again during the recruitment process.

"Dylan how've ya been?"

"Great, yeah ready to start the season this year and get into practices." slowly my nerves faded away.

"Yeah. Practices starts in a couple of days. Our first practice will be held on the football field." I gave him a strange look. "I know but the heads of the program are making teams pair up and have joint practices. So we will be working on conditioning and strength with the football players."

I stood there with the trainer and Coach Preston for a little while discussing the up coming seasons and what they'd look like. When we were finally through talking the trainer handed me my sports I.d. That would allow me to get into the locker rooms and practice gyms. Then I got my practice schedule.

I weaved my way out of the crowd of sports members searching the room for Zoe and or Rob. I looked and looked but couldn't find them, I walked out to one of the benches in the front and pulled out my phone.

Yo chicka where you at?

I'm sorry I went back to the dorms with the guys. I promise I'll wait for you here.

Great. Fantastic, Zoe left with everyone I came with so now I had to do the loner thing and trudge back to the dorms alone. My phone buzzed again thinking it was Zoe I automatically unlocked it and looked.

I silently laughed to myself.

Where'd ya go after the meeting?

I explained to him about trying to get my stuff and then meeting coach.

Cool. Your friend Z is over in our dorm so when you get here just come in :)

I was just reaching Posada hall. Of course Zoe had hit it off with one of the guys I hoped it worked between them because they were cute together.
I walked up to my dorm and opened it tossing all of my crap onto my bed. I took a look outside the window and then turned around. I stood in the hallway for a little bit debating on whether to knock or just go in. I decide to knock.

"Hey! You must be Dylan. Rob's new friend." A guy stood at the door and smiled. He stood tall at about 6'3. He filled almost the entire door way.

"Yeah that's me." I smiled back to him. He gestured for me to come in.

As soon as I was in the room I started looking for Zoe. I know what your thinking dorms are pretty small it wouldn't be hard to find her, but this room was packed with 15 or 16 massive guys.

"Hey." a familiar voice came from behind. He reached out and put his hand on my shoulder.

"Hi." every time I was around him it was like I couldn't talk. Luckily this morning on the run we were to busy to talk to each other.
