BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP. The alarm started to go off. I rolled over and reached my arm out to shut the alarm off but realized we had placed it just out of reach so I had to get up to turn the stupid thing off.
"Finally." The alarm stopped beeping. But being in a half awake state I tripped over something "dang it."
I opened my eyes to see what I had tripped over. My running shoes. I hadn't ran for a couple weeks, so I decided today would be a great day to run.
After about 10 minutes of stretching I went over to Zoe who had slightly woken up and told her I was going on a run. In reply I got a semi grunt.
Once I was outside I paused for a minute to take in the beautiful sunrise. "Good morning." I jumped a little out of my skin as the deep voice spoke. I turned around to see the guy from the courtyard. "Morning." Was all I was able to say. He was a lot more handsome then what I had seen yesterday. He had blonde-ish hair and deep brown eyes with a chiseled complexion.
"Are you going for a run?" courtyard guy asked.
"Um yeah actually I am." I said sheepishly. "But it has to be quick because I have a meeting to go to."
"Cool so do I" he answered bending over to tie his shoes " mind if I join you?"
"Sure! but I'm afraid I don't run with people who I don't know their names." I joked.
"Right, sorry, I'm Rob. Rob Gronkowski." He stood straight up and shook my hand. Standing up he towered over my 5'9 body.
"Dylan. Dylan Rodriguez." I shook his hand and smiled. His hands were huge.
After our quick run around the campus we headed back to the Posada hall to shower off.
"Hey it was really nice meeting you." Rob fiddled with his keys.
"You to." I started to open the dorm door. Coincidently right across the hall from Rob's.
"I'd like to see you again. Can I have your number?" Rob started to turn red.
"Yeah. I'd like to see you again too." We swapped phones and put our numbers in. Just as we finished the doors to the dorms opened.
"Rob come on your going to make us lat-- whoa take your time there bro." Rob's roommate winked to him.
"D how was the run? Oh whoa...." Zoe started to turn red also.
"Hey how you doin'?" Rob's roommate asked Zoe.
"Um I'll see you later then." Rob pushed his roommate back into the room and Zoe grabbed my arm and pulled me in.
