Part 32 - After the After Party

"Yn!" Tae rolled his eyes "Stick to the story Jk doesn't need to know which airline we used, how long the flight was or what we ate on the plane!" Tae smiled exasperatedly. Jk smiled scrunching up his nose with mirth. Yn was telling Jk about the famous 'Random Getaway Holiday'.

It was very late and although most of the party guests had left and the pizza was finished, there were still many guests milling around, laughing, dancing and nibbling on the what seemed like the endless snacks Tae and Jk had provided. When Yn had emerged from the study she had checked herself in the hallway mirror and was both shocked and thrilled to find that the marks Jimin had gifted her on her throat, from when he had gently bit and sucked at her skin in the study, were starting to show. She had grabbed a zip up sweater from the cupboard in the hallway and zipped it all the way to the top of her throat so that the marks were hidden. Finding Tae and Jk doing the washing up in the kitchen she had joined them.

"Tae this is our 'Random Getaway Holiday'! Of course I'm going to detail everything! Besides Jk will hopefully join our next one!" Yn enthused. Yn was trying to tell Jk about the favourite holiday Ygf, Tae and Yn had been on, and how Ygf had pushed away every guy who had tried to ask her out, but she kept digressing. Yn paused to tut as she leaned on the kitchen counter and got her sleeves all wet from the water that had seemed to splash everywhere from the washing up Tae and Jk had done. "Did you guys wash the whole kitchen? Who was in charge of drying up?!" Yn exclaimed holding up her wet sleeves.

"Yes I hope Jk will join the next one too. And no, we did not have anyone to dry, because you had wandered off somewhere!" Tae replied as Yn blushed. Missing her blushes, Tae continued, "Basically Jk, back to Ygf, the lady has verrry high standards. And she likes you!" Tae winked and elbowed Jk teasing him, passing him a Halloween cookie. 

"She likes Taehyun" Jk muttered, putting the cookie back down onto the plate. He was looking downcast and tense as he gripped his mug of neglected coffee. 

"She does not, she likes you trust me" Tae reassured him, shocked to see Jk refuse a snack.

"She does like Taehyun - that's why she was mad at Jk for trying to punch him!" Yn argued.

"Pfff she doesn't know what she wants. She was just mad because she doesn't like violence!" Tae replied dismissively. 

"She can speak for herself, thank you" Ygf interrupted, coming into the kitchen. The trio in the kitchen stood up straight, and looking guilty, busied themselves with brushing Halloween cookie crumbs off their clothes, to everywhere else in the kitchen. "Jk may I speak with you please?" She asked. 

"I uh need to change my sweater!" Yn cried out, showing Ygf her wet sleeves and leaving the kitchen in a rush, as Jk stared after her open mouthed, looking shocked and betrayed that she had abandoned him. 

"Don't leave me!" Jk whispered to Tae quickly, clutching the edge of Tae's T-shirt, as Ygf was distracted by Yn rushing out. 

"I better go check on our guests!" Tae announced jovially, firmly prying off Jk's strong grip from his T-shirt. Ygf politely pretended not to see the mini-scuffle and got herself a drink from the fridge. When she had closed the door, Tae had left, and an awkward Jk was left alone with her.

"Are you OK?" Ygf asked Jk gently.

"Yes. Are you?" Jk answered, swallowing deeply and looking up at her, his dark, doe-shaped eyes tinged with embarrassment.

"Yes. I told Taehyun you were protective over your friends. He is OK about what happened, but has left." Ygf replied.

"Ygf... I'm... I'm so sorry. I thought he was disrespecting you and I just got so angry!" Jk explained.
