When Yn's alarm clock went off on Sunday morning, she literally felt like a first generation SIM being made to work with no sleep, and almost mumbled gobbledegook, shook her fists in the air in protest and followed this by sobbing into her hands inconsolably. She got up however with slightly more grace, and dragged herself to her ensuite bathroom for a shower. After a power shower with fresh fruity smelling products, she felt rejuvinated and changed into a nice outfit. She considered her boring jeans. More life experience...hmmm...she picked out a very short pleated skirt she had never had the courage to wear.
She dashed downstairs and found Jk in the kitchen. "Morning Jk! What a nice surprise!!"
Jk blushed and grinned at Yn "Nice to see you too Yn. Tae asked me to meet him here now, but I just called him and I am sure I just woke him! He and I were up all night gaming, but I guess I don't need as much sleep!" Jk shrugged.
"Did you see Ygf yet? Have you eaten?" Yn asked.
"No not yet, Tae gave me his key, and when I called Ygf she told me to let myself in. Hope that is OK with you?"
"Oh of course, Jk!" Yn passed him a donut and looked at him suddenly "Jk....where do you live?"
"Not far from here, about 10 minutes away" Jk replied, already munching on the donut.
"Do you rent?" Yn wondered.
Jk blushed "I um I live with my family."
"Oh." Yn replied sadly. "We are looking for a tenant to help split the costs and I was hoping you might be interested" she poured herself and Jk some home-made smoothie.
"Ah....thank you for thinking of me anyway!" Jk said sincerely.
Suddenly a truly petrifed scream pierced the air.
Jk stood up in alarm, his eyes focussed, body poised, ready to help.
Yn gulped the remainder of her smoothie and popped her glass into the dishwasher. "Oh" she said as an after thought noticing Jk, "don't worry, that's Ygf. She must have spotted another spider in the shower. She gets pretty scared. OK see you later this afternoon! Would you be so kind as to help Ygf? Thank you!" Yn breezed out of the kitchen. Jk hurried after her.
"Erm Yn! Don't you think it would be more appropriate for you to help?" Jk said in a rush.
"Please Jk, you're taller, they're always on the shelf in there and last time I almost slipped off the step-ladder and killed myself. We're all friends here no problem right? Plus I'm super late to meet Namjoon and he already gave me a lecture about my commitment to the project! Pleeaase Jk?"
Jk gripped the back of his neck uncomfortably, but nodded, "Urm ok Yn...anything to help."
"Thank you Jk I knew I could count on you" Yn said sweetly and rushed out of the house. She snickered to herself as she slowly walked to the coffee shop to meet Namjoon. She was actually not late at all. She texted Tae.
