The excited, masked students entered the College gates to attend the popular annual Masquerade Halloween Ball and followed a path lit by intricately carved pumkin lanterns designed to scare or amuse them. It was a cool, fresh evening, one which seemed to stand still and await the imminent event. The entrance to the Main Hall, where the Ball was taking place, was flanked on one side by the Head of the College, Yoongi, and his close friend and Honorary Culinary Class Lecturer, Jin, on the other. Yoongi could be heard doling out warnings and advice in a monotonous tone for the students to behave, as he checked that they were not bringing in alcohol or already drunk (3 people had already been turned away with warnings). Meanwhile, Jin's playful laughs could be heard in between, accompanied by his wishes for the students to have fun.
Yn and Ygf had just been dropped off near the entrance by Jk, and were waiting for him and Tae to return from parking the car. Yn and Tae had come to the dance as friends and Ygf and Jk had too. Before Yn could finish smoothing down her dress, which had ridden up slightly from the car ride, Jimin came up to say hi.
"See? That was less than 5 seconds since we arrived. He can't keep away from you." Ygf muttered teasingly aside to Yn. Yn gently hit her on the arm, trying not to look too pleased.
"Evening Ladies....you both look breath taking!" Jimin smiled charmingly.
"Thank you, you look rather dashing yourself" winked Yn, trying to keep calm as her heart raced at how handsome he looked.
"Yes er thanks" muttered Ygf, receiving a gentle dig in her ribs from Yn's elbow. "You look very er handsome" she added, trying to sound more sincere than she felt.
Jimin bowed gracefully, grinning. "Thank you both! Do you have your masks?"
Ygf pulled her mask on "Yep!"
Yn nodded. "Yes. Where's yours Jimin?"
Jimin pulled his own mask on and stretched out his arms dramatically in response. Yn stared. It was extremely similar to Tae's, with the glittered design along the edges, but a different pattern formed. The symbols were different, she noticed.

Before she could ask him about it however Tae and Jk joined them. Jimin and Jk greeted each other and giggled at each other's masks. Being long standing enemies, Tae and Jimin ignored each other.
