Part 19 - Yeontan and moving house

Bright and early on the next sunny Saturday morning Ygf and Tae were wandering leisurely between the various shops in their local village. Wearing his favourite beret and holding a bag of two long baguettes, Tae waited outside the bookshop for Ygf, eating his ice cream unhappily. Tae had just learned from Ygf that she had not told him yesterday that Yn had gone for dinner again with Jimin the previous evening. According to Ygf this was so that he would not create a "scene". He thought about Ygf's advice that he needed to let Yn make her own decisions. Ygf had refused to answer any further questions regarding Jimin and insisted that Tae ask Yn his questions directly. 

Given that he had left the girls' home fairly late the night before, and Yn had not returned, he was feeling anxious and irritable. He wondered whether he should call Yn. Suddenly a movement in the shop window next door caught his eyes. He walked over for a closer look. A tiny puppy was leaning on the window with its tiny front paws pressed against the glass. It was a little brown and a little black, but had long, fluffy fur. Tae smiled delightedly and waved at the puppy with his ice cream. The puppy barked. Tae rushed into the shop.

Ygf waved bye to the clerk and happily left the bookshop with a full bag of fresh new books. She inhaled happily, looking forward to starting reading straight away. This weekend Yoongi was away at a conference and she was missing him terribly, not even being able to call him when she liked. As Ygf spotted Tae she noticed that he had bought some sort of yellow plushie. It looked very soft. "How long was I gone for that you managed to swap your ice cream for a plushie Tae?!" Ygf exclaimed smiling. She reached out to stroke it when suddenly a tiny fluffy black and brown puppy popped out from behind the plushie deep from within Tae's arms and yapped at her cutely. Ygf retracted her hand in shock and stared at the little dog. "Er Tae? You have a dog in your arms" Ygf wondered aloud.

"This is Yeontan!" Tae announced happily.

Ygf stared at him. 

Tae waved Yeontan's tiny paw at Ygf.

Ygf waved awkwardly at Yeontan. "Erm Tae? What are you doing with him...her?" Ygf queried.

"Him!" Tae responded. "I just bought him, he is coming home with me!" Tae happily buried his face against Yeontan.

"I see" Ygf replied. "And....that won't go against your apartment code?" Ygf queried worriedly.

"Naaah Mrs Chan is a sweetheart, she will love Yeontan, he is no ordinary dog!" Tae smiled broadly at Yeontan, already falling in love.

As Ygf turned her key in the lock back at home, and walked in balancing the box of cupcakes she had bought along with the heavy bag of books, she spotted Yn standing stock still in the hallway holding the phone, her face pale, as if in shock.

"Yn? Wh- what are you doing? Are you OK? I'm going to kill Jimin" Ygf rushed to her side depositing her shopping on the floor hurriedly. 

Yn came to. "Awww I'm ok, sorry to worry you Ygf, Jimin is fine, it's not that. Mr Kim our landlord just called us....he is selling the house! We will have to move...but where are we going to find somewhere near college so late in the academic year?!" Yn reported, worried.

Ygf frowned mirroring Yn's worry. "Oh!" Ygf responded, thinking hard.

Yn replaced the receiver and helped Ygf carry the cupcakes, as Ygf picked up the books, and they walked into the living room together. They sat on the sofa wondering how to resolve the situation.

"Ooo did you like the flowers?" Yn asked excitedly, unable to wait any longer to find out if Jk confessed.

The doorbell sounded, startling them.
